This set combines the third and fourth volumes in a meditative series called Hymnscapes, which presents Christian hymns in an ambient, new age setting. David Lyndon Huff, former drummer and keyboard player with the band Giant, handles all the keyboards, strings, and programming. Smoothed out, and stripped of lyrics, several of these hymns reveal haunting melodies. ~ Steve Leggett

Another volume in Decca's lifestyle classical music series, For a Beautiful Day collects classical pieces that are lively and lovely, including Mozart's Allegro from Serenade No. 13 in G, K525 "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik," Purcell's Rondeau from Abdelazar, and Ravel's Menuet from Le Trombeau de Couperin.
