| Doesn't Hold Up Well
One of the most often lampooned bands of the late '80's, Warrant nevertheless wrote extremely catchy songs, with surprisingly sharp lyrics and very good musicianship. The lyrics are often far superior to their contemporaries. However, while this album does have its strong points ("32 Pennies," 'The Down Boys," 'DRFSR") there are some real weak points as well, particularly the two ballads. Even the above-average lyrics can't cover up the distinct aroma of Limburger. The guitar solos are also very well done, although I hear there's some question as to who exactly played them, Joey Allen or an unnamed session player. On the whole though, I find that in 2006, the album doesn't hold up well, and sounds rather dated.

| Metal Blues
In the time of commercial metal music Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich is the best put together cd of them all. Every track is a new high and never do you feel bored with any song. The vocals by Jani Lane carry the songs into a place where it is impossible not to listen to them more than twice. "Down Boys" the strongest on the cd and contains that great riff at the begining and high note at the end to finsh the song. All other band memebers are very tight in making the tracks as catchy as they are. Many don't realize that these guys write hyped up very blues influenced lyrics. If you listen very closely and you are a music buff with a good knowledge, you will see why these songs are not what everybody faulted them for. "So Damn Pretty"(Should Be Against The Law) or even their most famous song "Cherry Pie" are great visuals that the old timers in blues used to use.

| 5 out of 5 stars.......... Need I Say More?
All I have to say about this one is 32 Pennies, Down Boys, Big Talk, Heaven, DRFSR, So Damn Pretty and the rest of the album! Only one of the best debuts of all time!! Just listen and see. The bonus tracks are also killers!

| Great Debut Album
Warrant will always be best known for "Cherry Pie" but this album proves they are better than just one song. "Down Boys" is a great song! "Heaven" was a big power ballad that I enjoyed hearing on the actual album it came from. "32 Pennies" "Big Talk" and "Sometimes She Cries" stand out on this album too. This is a great 80's album!
