| Endless Jam Music Review Average Rating: (3.8 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Let the Jams continue This is an example of how covers should be done. Nothing like old-timers jamming other old-timers hits. Nothing like respect. Nothing like listening to the great oldies and making them last forever. A new and fantastic side of Schenker As much as I love UFO and MSG, this is a whole new dimension of Schenker's genius guitar playing. He just rips through some great classic songs and improves upon everyone of them.
Mr. Pattison shows that he has a very diverse and competent voice as he does every song justice while making them his own. Buy the album and turn it up loud. Submitted by gdub62 (Bloomington, IL) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
MICHAEL COOKING AGAIN! Wow! What else can you say? Michaels playing on this CD is his best, in my opinion, since UFO's "Covenant". There is so much lead guitar work here, its almost mind-boggling. Long solo passages, and constant fills between lyrics. Bluesy tones and riffs mixed with rock n roll, at its best. According to the liner notes, Michael did not play any of the rhythm guitar...and its probably a good thing! With this much soloing, he would have spent way to long in the studio to do the rhythm also. Highlights include the lead work in "I Got The Fire", and the ending solo in "Long Misty Days". Other highlights include "Never In My Life", "Pearly Queen", and "The Stealer". Also included is a re-do of the Willie Dixon classic, "Built For Comfort", which of course, UFO did many, many years ago, but Davey Pattison installs his own rendering here. His vocal work, while certainly not outstanding, fits this project just perfect. Bluesy, ballsy, gutsy singing. Even though these are all covers, if you are like me, there is still some material on here you may have never heard before, in any version. I applaud Michael for this effort. The feeling and the playing of his guitar work shines...much more so than on "Arachnaphobiac", which struck me as a somewhat "forced" recording, as if it were just time to put a record out. This project shows Michaels talents. You'll have to listen many times, as you'll discover new, awesome licks with each listening. LONG LIVE MICHAEL!! Submitted by GORDONW (SNELLVILLE, GA.) For DieHards Only This is a good collection ov covers from Schenker?Pattison but not as excitin as Schenker fans will hope for. As a 20+ year fan of Michael's I wouldn't miss adding this to my collection but this does not showcase his brilliance. Submitted by sixxslinger67 (fawnskin, ca usa) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

$16.65 Tenor saxophonist Al Sears worked with a huge variety of bands from the '20s to the '60s, but he's probably best known for his stint with Duke Ellington. After going into semi-retirement in the '60s, Sears set up the Sylvia and Arock labels. Here are 28

$16.45 Rapper/producer Ghost Style aka Brandon Ho returned to Hong Kong the day before the ’97 handover. He then, took a job at a local newspaper which gave him access to Hong Kong’s underground music and club scene. Soon, he joined an alternative groove funk unit as frontman called "Site Access." He also ventured into publishing with his fanzine "Chalk," which covered local talent and the club scene which at the time was mostly ignored by mainstream press. Juggling the magazine, band, djing and partying became a handful and eventually the time came to decide which ball to drop. So, after closing the magazine, Brandon Ho was reborn as Ghost Style and hasn’t looked back since. GS has released four rap albums as well as produce and write for indie and mainstream artists. AMP Channel V has listed GS as "most popular artist." One of his songs "Chill Wit U" has been plugged in a recent Sony TV commercial. He’s jammed with international djs such as Ghetto Tech icon DJ Godfather. He’s performed in front for Lebron James’ Chamber of Fears by Nike and was the rap/singing talent on the hit movie "Initial D." GS also founded "Rebel Studio" which is a project label aimed at helping nurture local talents. GS has now found kindred spirits in 24Herbs and hopes to contribute great music to the crew! Til the next episode...Asia Represent: Ghost StyleUnderground Rapper or Overground Rebel? Creative Artist or Conspiracy Theorist? Multi-talented hip-hop producer or Loud mouthed MC? Hard working professional or channel surfing slacker? Is it the name to know in Hong Kong rap or just another dude from Kowloon with a funny name? In answer to all these charges, Ghost Style stands Guilty as Charged.Ghost Style returned to Hong Kong the day before the ’97 handover, armed with a pen, a mic, and a 20/20 vision of what the future of HK hip-hop could be. Shortly after touching down GS got his initiation into the local music scene fronting for a renowned local band ‘Site Access.’ After putting out two independent albums with the band, Ghost Style spun out on the path of solo music artist, sucking in urban grit, mixing, mastering and crafting it to a fine tune before spitting out serious product. His three albums from this period are heavy hip hop, dark and twisted beats from the heart of Hong Kong (one of these, Alias, was the first English rap album produced in Hong Kong). In 2005 Ghost Style hasn’t rested on his laurels for a second; he’s spent the year making dance floor across Asia writhe alongside the crème de la crème of the international DJ set, rapping for Detroit’s Ghetto Tech icon DJ Godfather and rhyming for Lebron James on LBJ’s “Chamber of Fear Asian Tour.” Somewhere along the line, Ghost Style ...
