| Rips The Covers Off Music Review Average Rating: (4.6 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews what a production!!! but some of the song choices... this album is worth its price for the production value alone. what a great sound this record has.
standout tracks are rock and roll outlaw, and wheels of steel.
the new guitarist smokes. he is very good.
my only complaint would be with yet another version of tie your mother down. queen has such a vast repertoire, i think something a little less "covered" would have been better.
and hurdy gurdy man has to be one of the worst songs ever, i would much rather have heard something else in its place.
the live tracks are a nice touch.

You WON'T be disappointed! This CD is outstanding!!! There really ISN'T a song on it that I DON'T like. Phil Lewis' vocals take these vintage 70's songs and brings them ROARING back to the present! My top picks: Search and Destroy (Iggy Pop and the Stooges), Marseilles (Angel City), Wheels of Steel (Saxon), and Moonage Daydream (Bowie). Rips The Covers Off album
$6.39 This audio document of The Corrs' Dublin homecoming concert has pretty much everything fans of Irish pop could wish for, including an appearance from Bono in his earthly incarnation, fresh from an audience with President George W. Bush. It's to the band's credit that the charismatic singer fails to steal the show, despite creditable ...
| | Tesla Into The Now CD (2004)
Rips The Covers Off CD music
$8.49 Unfairly labeled a hair-metal band, Tesla was always closer to the spirit of vintage 1970s hard rock. When the group released 1994's BUST A NUT, grunge rock was in full swing, and the Sacramento quintet subsequently took their curtain call, keeping busy with low-profile side projects. Testing the waters in 2000, Tesla launched a successful reunion tour, proving the band's enduring appeal. INTO THE NOW stands as their first full-length studio effort in 10 years.
The core of Tesla's sound has been updated with a fresh and contemporary flavor, but it's ...
| | George Lynch Furious George CD (2004)
Rips The Covers Off music CDs
$13.85 FURIOUS GEORGE is a tribute album to George Lynch's biggest musical influences.
One of the most heralded hard rock guitarists of the mid- to late '80s was George Lynch. And while Lynch could easily keep pace with all the shredders of the era (Steve Vai, Yngwie Malmsteen, etc.), his roots lay largely in '70s era classic rock. With the Shrapnel label encouraging veteran rock guitarists to revisit their past in the form of all-covers albums (Jake E. Lee's Retraced, Leslie West's Got Blooze, etc.), Lynch also got the nod, resulting ...
| | L A Guns Hollywood Raw: The Original Sessions CDs (2004)
Rips The Covers Off songs
$12.69 Includes tracks recorded prior to L.A. Guns's 1988 debut album.
Before there was L.A. Guns there was Guns N' Roses. Or if you are more inclined to believe the liner notes, it's the other way around. No matter how the fable gets framed, somewhere in time (specifically Los Angeles in the mid-'80s), Hollywood rockers Axl Rose and Tracii ...
