There are those who say that the role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons (beloved of 30-something fantasy geeks everywhere) is dead. But then, there are also those who say that drum'n'bass is dead but here, Dieselboy puts his substantial skill to work proving that both propositions are wrong on this sumptuously packaged, two-disc set. Whether you end up agreeing with his argument will depend mainly on how you felt about both the game and the music to begin with. One thing is clear, though: Dieselboy is still the class of American drum'n'bass, and his unique remixing style brings out the best in just about any trance, techno, or jungle artist. If you find the role-playing game theme annoying, it's easy enough to ignore; Dieselboy's diamond-hard breaks and creative manipulations will quickly absorb all your attention. Highlight tracks include his mix of Raiden's eerie "Infection" and of Dumonde's "Human," as well as a crazy mash-up based on Wink's "Evil Acid." The bonus EP includes six previously released selections from Dieselboy's own Human label, most by a trio consisting of Kaos, Karl K, and Jae Kennedy. Highly recommended to all the RPG junglist masses and their elves. ~ Rick Anderson

 Mad Love for the Diesel
This Album Rocks!!! Dieselboy infuses all the elements and pulls out all the stops one his top albums, I have it on vinyl too and its just to good! Love it! Big up to the Dieselboy!

Track by Track THE ABSOLUTE DARKEST AND BEST!
Dieselboy has done it again! Enlisting dark-side drum and bass producers to remix some of trance and house music latest anthems, he infuses today's futuristic drum and bass sound with a global flavour that breaks new ground and blurs the lines between the various genres of electronic music. This CD is the absolute best drum and bass mix CD thus far in "The Dark One's" arsenal! One-upping "Project: HUMAN", his last CD mix, on so many levels and fronts,
Damian Higgins (as Dieselboy is known in "non d-n-b DJ speak") takes dark, sinister voice-overs by Optimus Prime himself, the one and only Peter Cullen, tracks with gloomy, atmospheric, and trancey textures, ripping synth stabs and arpeggios, and haunting vocal samples, and blends them together, mashing them up into one satisfying piece of utter hell on Earth! Go out and buy this one immediately if not sooner!
Oh yeah, and if Technical Itch just happens to be reading this, release "The Hand" on vinyl PLEEEZE!

Spectrum Music, a British division of PolyGram devoted to budget-priced compilations of material from the major label's vaults, is responsible for this CD-length collection drawn from the fourth Grin album, 1973's Gone Crazy (the other three were on Spindizzy and now are owned by Sony), and bandleader Nils Lofgren's first five solo albums: Nils Lofgren (1975), Cry Tough (1976), I Came to Dance (1977), the live Night After Night (1977), and Nils (1979), all of which were released originally on A&M Records.
