Piano Español - Falla, Albeniz, Soler, Granados / Osorio CD

 Satisfactory Spanish Piano Music
I give this recording 3 Stars not for the pianism, but for the music itself. Osorio plays superbly, and with the proper elan and flair for the Spanish idiom, but I found the music to have such a sameness that the interest initially generated was lost with each passing piece. I would guess that Osorio picked the pieces to be played himself, and so this may merely reflect my relative ignorance of Spanish music beyond the more commonly played pieces.

 Superb Pianist
This was a complete and most enjoyable CD. The performance by Osario was superb and should be in anyone's collection of spanish music.

 Five star pianist, but........
I must give five stars for Osorio's pianism (he is fantastic). However the sound quality of the disc lowers the overall rating to "4".

 The best spanish music with the best pianist
Jorge F. Osorio is absolutely superb. The way he plays Albeniz is to die for. Probably the best collection of spanish music
