||Fun action adventure!|
Around the World in 80 Days movie I really enjoyed this movie. Especially since my father and mother were both extras and I was able to clearly see my father, who passed away several years ago. Thank you for the chance to see my father once more and also enjoy a rip roaring great film!

Around the World in 80 Days video Is one of our much beloved classics with a wonderful David Niven! It's much better than the remake with Pierce Brosnan and we're happy its out on DVD now!

Around the World in 80 Days film As art films go,Around the World isn't certainly one of them,but the sheer pleasure of watching the splendid color photography in the original widescreen format,together with the beautiful sound score by Victor Young is reason enough to own this exceptionally well restored film. Around the World in 80 Days review This de-luxe edition does finally justice to the 1956 Richard Todd's effort. It's also a pleasure to discover the familiar faces of dozens artists who made little cameos all through the film,to name a few,Fernandel,Martine Carol,Gilbert Roland,Frank Sinatra,Marlene Dietrich,John Carradine,etc. David Niven is in his usual suave self,even if not at his best and Shirley MacLaine,as the Hindu princess is as unlikely as she's beautiful and stone-faced,while the mexican actor Cantinflas (who also starred in "Pepe")is very,very good. At the price,this two-disc edition is a steal,at least for movie buffs with a touch of nostalgia.

Cantinflas at its best! This is a great family movie full of laughter and excitement. It is very colorful and blends all the cultures in the world.

I saw the movie many years ago on the BIG screen in Hollywood and still enjoy when it shown on TV. To bad the movie people do not get their act together and get it on DVD so it can be enjoyed with GOOD quality sound and picture along with todays new TV sets. Bob from Oakhurst Calif.
