Audio Mixer: Brendan O'Brien. Recording information: Southern Track Recording, Atlanta, GA. Incubus Megalomaniac Songs Megalomaniac Music Review Average Rating: (4 out of 5 stars) Monuments and Melodies I must agree with Inkybus, Monuments and Melodies is a fantastic song and well worth a listen, as a song I think it would have gone down a lot better on the album than some of the ones that made the final cut, but thats just me.
As a note, There were actually two releases of this Single which both bear the Cat # 34K 76815, both with the same barcode aswell, one comes in an album sized case and the other in a slimline single, the slimline is the Canadian, Album size is the US release, either one is well worth the money. inkybus This single is really worth the price for "Monuments and Melodies." It's possibly the slowest song recorded during the "ACLOTM" sessions. This song makes a perfect single in a sense that it really doesn't fit on the album, which is what makes it so amazing. Kinda like the song "Pantomime". Megalomaniac
$14.09 Audio Mixer: Randy Staub . When Layne Staley died from a drug overdose in 2002, it had already been several years since most Alice in Chains fans stopped hoping for a new album. The singer had become a recluse since the late-`90s, and there was little indication that AIC would ever again produce much in the way of new music. As a result, when the remaining members reunited to release BLACK GIVES WAY TO BLUE in 2009, expectations were low. To the delight of all however, the album proved to be perhaps the Seattle combo's most energetic and consistent effort since its masterpiece DIRT. Perhaps the most surprising element of the new record was how much it sounded exactly like Alice in Chains. While new singer William DuVall was not an exact Staley soundalike, he managed to evoke both the unique timbre and sense of deep angst that were the late vocalist's trademarks. Throughout, the sound is heavier and sturdier than ever before, with songs like the first single "A Looking In View" and "Check My Brain" borrowing a bit from the nu-metal bands Alice in Chains ...

Megalomaniac
$14.45 Adapters: John Leventhal; Rosanne Cash. Personnel: Jeff Tweedy, Rufus Wainwright, Elvis Costello, Bruce Springsteen (vocals); John Leventhal (guitar, dobro, mandolin, harmonica, harmonium, organ, Wurlitzer organ, drums, percussion); RIck DePofi (bass clarinet, horns, piano); Zev Katz, Tim Luntzel (upright bass); Joe Bonadio, Shawn Pelton (drums); Curtis King (background vocals). Audio Mixers: John Leventhal; RIck DePofi. Photographer: Deborah Feingold. Arrangers: John Leventhal; Rosanne Cash. After the dark and chilling themes of 2006's BLACK CADILLAC, which saw Rosanne Cash dealing with the deaths of her mother, Vivian Liberto, her father, Johnny Cash, and her stepmother, June Carter Cash -- all of whom passed within a two-year span -- one might assume that her next project would move into an even deeper level of bleakness, but with THE LIST, it's immediately clear that she has instead found a more measured place to stand. It's a lovely and redemptive outing that looks back to go forward. When Cash turned 18, her father, alarmed that his daughter only knew the songs that were getting played on the radio, gave ...

| | Cyrkle Turn Down Day EP CD (2002) (Import) France
Megalomaniac
$17.09 TURN DOWN THE DAY is a four-track release featuring '60s pop band The Cyrkle and includes their hit "Red Rubber Ball." This is a reissue of a four-song EP Columbia originally released in 1966, and in some ways it is the perfect Cyrkle record, illustrating as it does both the pros and cons of this intriguing group. The Cyrkle's two hits are here, the Paul Simon-penned "Red Rubber Ball" and the summer goof-off anthem "Turn Down Day," both of which feature bright, deftly arranged production ...
