$10.15 Arubian born Roberto Antonio Altagracio Stuart has amazed many since his migration to the United States in 1962. Stuart learned to play the clarinet at Public School in St. Albans NY. His gift to play music was recognized by his Junior High School teacher which allowed him to experiment with different instruments. By the time Roberto started majoring in music in high school he had learned to play sweet sounds on the saxophone, piano, guitar, bass guitar, drums and vocals. Stuart was well known in New York City area for his talented creations of the Pamoja Brothers, The Natural Souls, Doc Ice and other local bands. Stuart enlisted into the United States Army in 1973 and two years later was excepted into the 319th Army Band where he served as an instrumentalist. he served from 1998 -2004 as the bands First Sergeant and Assistant Conductor. Presently he serves as the Training NCO where he schedules all training for the Statue of Liberty Army Band (Reserve). Stuart has worked with some rhythm and blues finest stars; Percy Sledge, Don Covay, Carol Williams, and RoyC. He has also performed on the same tickets with Clarence Carter, Curtis Mayfield, Denise LaSalle, Jerry Butler, The Manhattans, Edwin Starr and Bobby Bluebland. His name appears on the recording labels of Mercury Records, 3 Gems Records, Alaga Records, Penthouse Records and Tuff Records. Roberto has performed with the Queens College Band and the Queens College Wind Ensemble. Roberto can be accredited for his performance on the great stages of Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center.
