| | Guster On Ice - Live From Portland, Maine CD Guster Discography of CDs
(2 Customer Reviews)
Guster's energetic live shows and loyal fan base have been widely chronicled, so an album recorded in the group's natural on-stage habitat is an especially welcome addition to their catalog. GUSTER ON ICE: LIVE FROM PORTLAND, MAINE is about as close as one could get to being at the concert, and showcases Guster's cheerful acoustic guitar- and vocal harmony-driven sound amid tons of giddy crowd noise. Sometimes sounding like a less-melancholy Toad the Wet Sprocket, the group charges through a selection of its best-known songs ("Amsterdam," "Red Oyster Cult," "Fa Fa") with unbridled enthusiasm, inviting the adoring crowd to share in the fun. As the track list draws from all of Guster's previous releases, GUSTER ON ICE could serve equally well as a fan memento or "best of"-style introduction.
The first live album & DVD from one of Modern Rock's most admired band. This CD/DVD combination pack captures the band at its very best on tour from 2003's "Keep It Together." The DVD includes lots of bonus footage including Dave Yonkman's Week With Guster, music videos, more.

| | Guster Lost And Gone Forever CD (1999)
Guster On Ice - Live From Portland, Maine CD music
$9.59 Signing to a major-label doesn't really change Guster's outlook for their third album, Lost & Gone Forever. However, the switch to the big leagues has given the band the opportunity to hire a heavy-hitter producer, Steve Lillywhite, who performs a similar function here that he did with Dave Matthews. Lillywhite doesn't attempt to change Guster's jovial folk-pop, but he helps them focus and ...
| | All-American Rejects CD (2002) Enhanced CD
Guster On Ice - Live From Portland, Maine music CDs
$12.39 Tyson Ritter and Nick Wheeler, the two college-age clean-cut men who form the nexus of the All-American Rejects, have a knack for driving home a pop hook. Clearly weaned on power pop's history ...
| | Neil Young On The Beach CD (1974) Remastered
Guster On Ice - Live From Portland, Maine songs
$8.79 After working his way through loss and chaos on the brilliant TONIGHT'S THE NIGHT (recorded in 1973, but not released until 1975), Neil Young deftly exorcised any lingering demons with 1974's ON THE BEACH. The album opens with the saunter of the aptly titled "Walk On," followed by the utterly gorgeous, Wurlitzer-tinged "See the Sky about to Rain."
The set also features a trio of scathing ...
| | Pete Anderson Daredevil CD (2004)
Guster On Ice - Live From Portland, Maine album
$9.69 Pete Anderson's third solo outing has been a long time coming, and one gets the distinct impression that it's the album he's been itching to make all along. Given that Daredevil is completely instrumental, the guitar geeks already have something to salivate about. But there's much more to it than that. Anderson played the vast majority of instruments, with help in a few places from multi-instrumentalist Skip Edwards and minimal assistance from trumpeter Lee Thornberg and fiddler Donny Reed as well. There's also some string work performed by some mysterious entity know as "the Skipper." If the Latin ...
| | Paul McCartney Flowers In The Dirt CD (1989) Bonus Track; England
Guster On Ice - Live From Portland, Maine CD music
$10.49 All songs written by Paul McCartney except "My Brave Face", "You Want Her Too", "Don't Be Careless Love" and "That Day Is Done" (McCartney/MacManus).
This includes the "Flowers In The Dirt" CD, a family tree poster for the current line-up going back to The Quarrymen days, a tour itinerary, post cards, a bumper sticker and a CD3 of "Party, Party, Party" available only in this set.
FLOWERS IN THE DIRT is arguably McCartney's finest album of the '80s (and '90s, for that matter). A large part of the credit is due to Elvis Costello, who cowrote several of the album's tracks. Costello provided the necessary artistic contrast that had been missing in McCartney's compositional ...
