One Door Shuts...Another Door Opens
This is an interesting album. The musicianship is A1 and the compositions are really good. You can definitely hear Ray's influences on the Doors and in turn some of Big Jim's influences on Ray.

Surprisingly good, thoroughly enjoyable
I'm a Ray Manzarek fan to start with (The Doors; his solo version of Carmina Burana), but I'd never heard this album before.

Crypto Egyption Beatnik Philosophy with a Beat
I owned this album on vinyl for many years and wore it out. Ray does a great job on the music, fun and inventive, each song has its own swing/swagger.
