| | Three 6 Mafia - Choices II: The Setup Movie And Soundtrack DVDs (2004) With CD
Southern Foundation CD music
$14.59 Memphis, Tennessee's thuggish rappers, Three 6 Mafia, made a name for themselves rhyming about life on the streets of the South. Following in the tradition of rappers who have turned their creative visions to filmmaking (including Master P and Dre. Dre), the hip-hop group brings these issues to the big screen. As the follow-up to their popular debut feature, CHOICES II- THE SETUP tells the story of two street hustlers who must make a decision that will forever alter the course of their lives. Filmed in the group's hometown of Memphis, the film stars Three 6 Mafia, Tiny, Bishop Don Juan, and Lil Wayne. When DJ Paul and Juicy get locked up after a botched robbery, they find themselves facing an impossible choice between freedom in exchange for doing a favor for two corrupt officers, and a life in the slammer. The soundtrack to the film, which contains 16 songs (featuring Trillville, Young Bloods, D-Rock, and Lil Wyte), is also included here.
Three 6 Mafia's folloup to the highly successful street movie Choices 1. After a heist goes wrong for two Memphis hustlers (DJ Paul and Juicy), they find themselves behind bars. Two crooked DEA agents offer freedom ...
| | Michelle Michel'Le CD (1989)
Southern Foundation music CDs
$7.29 Michel'le, the girl with the squeaky speaking voice and thunderous singing voice, stormed onto the music scene in 1989-1990 with her smash self-titled debut. The album is post-new jill swing, incorporating a mix of hip-hop, dance, and R&B well before Mary J. Blige and Faith Evans perfected the genre. Michel'le produced several huge hits, including the unstoppable (and irresistibly clever) "No More Lies," which became a Top Ten pop hit; its follow-up, "Nicety"; and the R&B/dance hit "Keep Watchin'." The real gems on this set, however, are the slow jams. The smoldering "Something in My Heart" became a hit well over a year after the album's release, and other tracks such as "Silly Love Song," "Close to Me," and "If?" are just as good. Unfortunately, it took Michel'le nearly a decade to deliver the follow-up, 1998's Hung Jury, which completely paled in comparison to its predecessor, although she was a featured vocalist on tha Dogg Pound's 1996 hit "Let's ...

Southern Foundation album
$16.45 "From the first notes of "In a Sentimental Mood" it is clear that Fredric Zimmerman and Alex Zepeda have tapped into that way of connecting with life and are full-fledged members of that other dimension. The music feels right and you know that these two musicians are concentrating on creating a world of shifting emotions, layered one on top of another, the final result being a deep and rich pillow of beauty for you to rest your inner self upon." -Chuck SherPresident of Sher Music Co.If you like this music look for Zimmerman's debut trio recording: Trio Music Volume I: StandardsAnd His Quartet 96: (original compositions)Zimmerman and Zepeda grew up in Laguna Beach California. At the time of this recording in 1995, they had been playing off and on for years. I am sad to say that as of August 11, 2001, Alex Zepeda is no longer with us. He was a truely amazing saxophonist, overall ...
| | Gino Vannelli Nightwalker/Black Cars CD (2009) Bonus Track
Southern Foundation CD music
$14.25 A couple months after England's BGO label combined Powerful People and Storm at Sunup as a two-for-one disc, the Sony-distributed U.S. label Friday Music paired 1981's Nightwalker and 1985's Black Cars, Gino Vannelli's seventh and eighth studio albums. This is a basic, no-frills reissue, but the albums hadn't been readily available for some time; Nightwalker was available in Japan, and Black Cars had been issued on One Way (another Sony endeavor) in 2001. Between the two albums, there is a pretty wide stylistic range ...
