Live On Tour In Europe songs
$11.69 The legendary keyboardist started making his unique brand of old-school soul meets modern funk back when old-school was still in session, and the title of his third Narada Jazz disc is a throwback to that era, when the 45 RPM was king. Rather than overwhelm this time with hardcore commercial funk grooves and calculated radio hooks, Jeff Lorber is more into cool vibes and soulful atmospheres. Melodies have always been his gift, so those just come naturally, as on the laid-back, chillout opening track, which features a lush, loose acoustic piano lead. There are less horns than usual, but Ron King (trumpet) and Gary Meek (sax) are given free reign to create snazzy textures on "Everybody Knows That" and the nifty, acoustic soul-jazz flavored title track. "Angel in Paris" is all swinging '60s jazz-funk, complete with a shimmering Rhodes lead as only Lorber can play. Working with co-producer ...

Live On Tour In Europe album
$14.79 âThere has always been a piano in my life. From as far back as I can remember it has always been there, silently waiting for me to touch its keys and let it speak. After many years of studying music and uncovering the secrets of technique I have found that it all comes down to one thing. Touch.â (From the liner notes of âHealing Touchâ) If your soul is in need of a gentle, healing touch, then this CD is for you. "Healing Touch", a collection of eight piano improvisations by pianist Martin Brookes, speaks to the heart and soul. Touching, gentle, understanding, its âvoiceâ seems to know just what to âsayâ. "Martin gave Eileen a copy of his CD a few days ago and we have been listening to it over and over again. It is incredible!! I love listening to it while I am on the computer - I'm listening to it now. His talent is amazing." Steve"Martin,Your music is so BEAUTIFUL.... how ironic that you send me exactly what feels healing to me. I listen ...

$21.45 Their IdealThe musical relationship of these four musicians began in 1997. Most probably, it is this long cooperation which creates this atmosphere of familiarity at their concerts and allows the audience to bathe in their sound with an open ear and an open spirit, a sound that allows various kinds of interpretation. The protagonistsâ motivation to be musicians derives from an idea based on musical independence and the wish to constantly defend it. They are traditional avantguardists with a burning feu-sacrĂ©: jazz is life. They donât re-invent everything from scratch and they donât copy any seasonal fashions. The aim is rather to provoke given norms or even to break them. Virtuosity is never reduced to a means unto itself; their honest music is based on playful interpretation, a vital interplay and a risky âto and fro of ideasâ.Personal dataMarcel LĂŒscher (Baden) studied the saxophone at the Jazz Schools of Berne and Basel. His teachers were George Robert, Christian Baader, Domenic Landolf and Dani Blanc. Furthermore, he spent an intensive time in the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp in Michigan, USA. One highlight was taking part at the International Music Festival in Sydney. From January to August 2003 he lived in Paris. During this time he worked and performed with the chanson formation âDe rienâ and took part in CD-recordings of the triphop band âVasistasâ. He attended the masterclass of George Garzone. Concerts with Pepe Lienhard, the Culture Centre Jazz Orchestra, the George Gruntz Workshop Big Band, Bobby Shew, Ernie Watts, Charlie Mariano, Andy Scherrer, George Robert, Dieter Ammann, Shawne Fielding Borer, Stevenâs 19, Nubya, Noisy Nap Attack, Eat the Jam (Seven), Umberto Arlati and his brothers Thomas and Roger. Dario Bianchin (Zurich / Treviso) studied the guitar at Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA, and at the Jazz School in Basel, his teachers being Francis Coletta and Thomas Möckel. He canât be placed in one category or another â he is just as much at ease with Pepe Lienhardâs Army Big Band as with the drumânâbase band âE-Luxâ. His true love, though, is jazz. Beside punk-influenced bands like âMalgâ Dario also worked with the Basel-based band âThe Simplist Manâ, Peter & David Klein, Nat Su and Herbie Kopf, and he took part in Kaspar Ewaldâs funk opera âBrambillaâ. Dominik SchĂŒrmann (Basel) is one of northwestern Switzerlandâs most popular counter basists who has developed a great ...

$18.99 I love cocktail parties. Well, actually, I really love to people watch at cocktail parties, and the eavesdropping is fascinating, too. No, really⊠try this â the next time you arrive at a party, go right to the bar and grab your favorite martini, mojito or diet delight. Then make your way through the crowd. As you walk, really listen to the snippets of conversations that float all around you. On one such evening recently, I observed and overheard almost every aspect of love- long time couples ...
