AN ALBUM NOT TO BE PROUD OF
If ever proof was needed that The Doors were Jim Morrison, then these two CDs are it. A few good moments on each disc and that's about your lot. As for the sound quality on this CD... well... let's not go there. Enough said?

Life Without Jim
I am an ardent Doors fan and have been waiting for these to come out on CD for years. I had them on vinyl but really wanted them on CD. The sound quality is pretty good but does not sound remastered. The liner could use more information rather than small prints of the original album info. Although it takes awhile to get used to not hearing Morrison's voice on these, there are some excellent songs here. You can almost imagine Jim singing on most of them. Others are just silly throw-aways. The price ia a little high considering the drawbacks mentioned earlier but this is a must-have for all true Doors fans.

Completely hooked on the Full Circle
While I have an unqualified love of Jim Morrison and the Doors, the Full Circle is a very special LP I bought when I was about 11 years old. The Piano Bird is a very beautiful song and perfectly produced - it is one of my favourate songs.
Since my vinal copy is so worn, I have been looking for this LP on CD for years, and I have just purchsed a copy from cd universe. Since I had never heard Other Voices, I am looking forward to receiving my copy and giving it a go.

Other Voices
Other Voices is another of my 8-tracks I need to replace. Unfortunately they're banging us for 2 albs but heck it's what they need to do to make their numbers. If I'm not mistaken Jim wrote the songs, just not around to perform them. That's very old info and I could be wrong. I know one thing, I've been singing "Variety is the spice of life, that's what the judge is gonna tell my wife" for about 30 years. I don't know about you but I have to have it on my iPod.
