(3 Customer Reviews)
Hop into that Chevy Convertible with THE UNTOUCHABLE, and cruise along with hooks that recall vintage Parliament-Funkadelic. Rev the engine up with synthesizer-driven effects that will linger in your brain long after the album's over. Throw 2Pac, Dr. Dre, and Ice Cube in the back seat as featured vocalists and you've got a house party going on West Coast style. Scarface is back with his smooth-sounding beats and drag-down, in-your-face rapping. In "Money Makes The World Go Round," he brings the lyrical calisthenics of guest rapper Daz into the mix. Throughout, Scarface pounds out some heavy beats with some slick transitions. You can't touch this.
This is an example of Southern Rap "Screwed" mixing style.

The Source (4/97, p.93) - 4 Mics (out of 5) - "...Scarface re-emerges as a don, whose power is felt even when he steps away from the music scene..." | | Scarface Diary CD (1994)
Untouchable (Screwed & Chopped) CD music
$13.89 On THE DIARY, rapper Scarface creates a powerful, almost operatic progression of characters, portraying the different roles as they derive from the rapper's own persona. So he speaks either as Scarface or as Brad Jordan (his real name), as the cold-blooded gangsta or as a shrewd, compassionate observer of the mean streets of warring colors, doomed youth and innocents caught in the crossfire.
THE DIARY is a graphic, powerful, unwavering look at the day to day violence that has become brutally commonplace for ...

Untouchable (Screwed & Chopped) music CDs
$13.89 The Geto Boys returned from a three-year hiatus (in which its three members released solo material) with 1996's THE RESURRECTION. Though the rap game had changed since they last had a collective stake in it, it quickly becomes evident that the Texas Boys remain as gangsta strong as ...

| | Scarface My Homies CDs (2006) Chop
Untouchable (Screwed & Chopped) album
$13.89 In 2006's MY HOMIES PART 2, Southern gangsta rapper Scarface blends violent ghetto tales like "Southern Nigga" with smartly told vignettes like "My Life," his reunion with the Geto Boys. Scarface may still be too raw for prime time, but when he's got cuts of the caliber of "Definition of Real," his collaboration with Ice-T, and "Never Snitch," where he partners with The Game, it doesn't matter.
Scarface's two-disc opus MY HOMIES keeps an unswerving eye on something too many rappers ...

Untouchable (Screwed & Chopped) CD music
$13.89 With his debut solo release, TRILL, Bun-B proves that he doesn't need his UGK partner Pimp C to deliver the goods. On this sprawling set of gangsta-crunk tracks, the Texas-based rapper delivers more unflinching, sinister tales from the ghetto over dizzying, southern-fried beats. The impressive array of contributors--including Ludacris, Too Short, Ying Yang Twins, Scarface, and Mike Jones--adds even more star power to an already top-notch production.
With his partner Pimp C struggling with ...

"My Way" was nominated for the 1999 Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance.
Three years after his debut album, 18 year-old Usher returns with a newly mature, seductively smooth voice, and a palpable sense of self confidence. What remains so appealing about Usher's soulful crooning and sexy whisper, however, is a youthful freshness and vibrancy. This unpretentious approach is felt throughout the album in the simple, clean production, especially on songs like the Babyface-produced ballad "Bedtime," which has lovely background vocals by Shanice Wilson. Funkier, more up-tempo songs include the title track, an R&B-tinged song endearingly lacking the slightest hint of humility: "from this day forth you know I'm all about heat/And what I do be ...
