Winston Rodney's (aka Burning Spear) first live waxing remains as righteous a live reggae disc you're ever gonna feast upon. Well, this recent live double shot is hardly its predecessor's equal, but Rodney is still one of the truly great voices in reggae. So even when the going gets rough, or boring, or meanders into Jah oblivion, he's still worth the price of admission. His new band (complete with all-female horn section) is a tightly skanking bunch of bohunks who negotiate the labyrinthine rhythmic pulsation with grace and panache. And while the material here is no match for earlier stuff like "Marcus Garvey," "Slavery Days" and "Man in the Hills," it stacks up well by comparison, especially "Spear Burning" and "Creation Rebel." ~ John Dougan, Option

Burning Spear have been around since 1969 with over 35 years in the music business. Spear stand out as one of the best live act ever. No one put on a Live concert like Burning Spear. this cd is very very cool!! specially songs: New Experience, happy Day, The Wilderness, Old Marcus Garvey, Door Peep and The Youth. This Artist don't get him in the country.

One of the Best Reggae Albums Ever
Burning Spear Live in Paris was first issued in 1988 and I loved this album at once. After my daughter lost my cd some seven years ago I have been searching for a new or used copy. I guess everyone else also thinks it is a great reggae album as no one was willing to give theirs up. It was a pleasant surprise to see that it has been reissued. Favorite tracks of mine are The Youth, Happy Day, Queen of the Mountain, Mistress Music. Marley is great but I have tired of listening to Legend. I never tire of Burning Spear Live in Paris.

 If you buy just one album this is the one to buy
I generally don't like live albums, but when I came across this album I was impressed. Burning Spear is amazing, but don't take my word for it-listen for yourself
