Their lives became a living hell when the past, present and future collided. A family finds its "dream house" becomes a home for nightmares of the alien kind.
The new desert domicile has all the trappings of modernistic bliss, including solar power. Then something happens, having to do with a tri-star blast that radiates Earth, and alters the family's life in strange ways.
Soon spaceships and dinosaur-like creatures appear in the backyard, which lies just feet away from a mysterious glow. Like a mutant hybrid of Lost in Space and Land of the Lost, John Cardos' THE DAY TIME ENDED centers on a middle-class family who face a strange and terrifying array of science-fiction creatures when aliens send their solar-powered, Mojave Desert home into a time warp.
This science fiction opus was shot in 1978 under the working title, "Vortex."
Additional cast: Scott Kolden.
A Compass International Pictures/Manson International Pictures release of a Vortex production.
This is the only Natasha Ryan video. Stars also making their debut in this video: Marcy Lafferty. $13.59 A classic of Japanese sci-fi, THE MYSTERIANS combines the alien invasion and kaiju (giant monster) sub-genres. When the military investigates the puzzling disappearance of an entire village, they uncover the culprit, an enormous robot. They also encounter the alien Mysterians, who have left their own decimated planet seeking asylum on Earth. All they ask is a portion of land...and some Earth women to repopulate their species! $12.99 This brutal film is a cult favorite of 70s horror fans, set during the witch-hunting craze in 18th Century Austria, and it remains controversial in many ways. Scriptwriter Adrian Hoven was replaced as director by Michael Armstrong before the film was in production. Armstrong was subsequently fired from his position after reworking much of the script and allegedly experimenting with drugs while on the job. Though uncredited, Hoven is rumored to have directed as much as 60% of the film. The film itself is a gratuitous feast of skin, sin, and ultra-violence, accompanying the opening credits with the brutal rape of a wagonful of nuns. The rapists happen to be the local witch-hunters, led by Albino (Reggie Nalder), who spearheads a number of atrocities before the innocent witch-hunter-in-training Baron Christian (Udo Kier) stumbles upon him mid-rape/murder of a servant girl, Vanessa. Christian's compassion for Vanessa enrages his mentor Count Cumberland, disillusioning poor Christian, ...

$10.05 THE DESCENT, a claustrophobic and intense British horror film from Neil Marshall (DOG SOLDIERS), follows six courageous young women who venture down a deep, deep cavern in the Appalachian Mountain range. They are expert rafters and rock climbers--particularly the leader, Juno (Natalie Mendoza), and Sarah (Shauna Macdonald), who is still getting over the death of her husband and daughter the year before. Any healing and bonding is scuttled fast, however, once a cave-in cuts off their return route, forcing them deeper down into the darkness, their flashlight batteries dwindling with every wasted minute. The horror builds, the passageways get tighter and tighter, and then Sarah thinks she have seen something moving in the distance, something ...
