Driller Killer movie was released Jun 29, 2004 by the Ryko Distribution studio. Closed Captioned; Soundtrack English; Limited Edition
In THE DRILLER KILLER, a bloodthirsty maniac attacks his shrieking victims with an assortment of power tools--all he needs is an extension cord.
Director Abel Ferrara's (BAD LIEUTENANT) first major feature has an infamous reputation but is actually more of an art film than a straightforward bloodletter Driller Killer DVD for sale. Tortured and penniless artist Reno (Ferrara) and his girlfriends Carol (Carolyn Marz) and Pamela (Baybi Day) hang out at their New York loft, enduring such problems as the phone bill, the rent, and a rock band that's always practicing downstairs. ...See Full Description

| pure rubbish this film is definately more of an art film disguised as a classic slasher. this film is poorly directed and there is very little character development despite the film's slow dragging pace. for the high price you would be better off buying friday the 13th....or if you really want a bargain buy sleepaway camp. | Not what you think! looking at this cover you think that its going to be gory well its not, it is porly directed and written. ther is not one caricter i liked in this film, it is terribly slow. And the most annoying part is the band ontop of the driller killers apartment. once agan if you are loking for a good and eccilent gory movie then go watch Long island cannable massacer or zombie movies like dawn or day.so dont get this movie and here is a nother movie try to stay clear of Slumber party massacer 2. | Punk Rock, Paranoia, & Power Tools... Here it is folks the cult classic that's part slasher flick and underground art experiment all in one. This is one great movie here. Scarf this one up quick! Plug in the Port-o-Pack and kick back and enjoy! By Stich (Houston, TX.) This review is for a different format. |
| A Bleak Slice of History Abel Ferrara's 1979 film DRILLER KILLER is one of my favorite films of all time. From the title, it sounds like a typical slasher flick, but it's far from that. It's a bleak story set on the dingy downtown NYC punk scene. The film is mostly about art, punk rock and insanity. Oh... and I guess a few people get killed with a power drill too. Abel Ferrara, using the stage name Jimmie Laine, stars as the tortured artist protagonist and he does quite a convincing job, but his is not my favorite performance in THE DRILLER KILLER. I have a fixation on one of the female leads, Pamela, played brilliantly by Baybi Day, who has never been in a movie since. She's the type of wacky, f*cked up punk rock girl who I've wanted to shtup for years. I don't think they make 'em like her anymore. HOT LESBIAN SHOWER SCENE!!! I mean hot as in extremely sensuous, not gratuitously smutty with bad acting. OMG... By Buzz Cartier (Clifton, NJ) This review is for a different format. |
