 Expectations Fulfilled
As a lifelong Elvis fan, I finally decided to add this to my collection. The sit down jam sessions are my favorite parts. Whenever I hear these songs replayed on the radio, I picture him in my mind sitting on the stage with the guys and how they played it. I like the informality and relaxed (or as close to it as they could be while being filmed) atmosphere. Makes it easy to imagine how they would play if they just met up in each other's homes.

 The Holy Grail
If Elvis hadn't excisted, where would we all be? Where would popular music be? The Elvis '68 Comeback Special is to many a pinnacle of his career and to see it in all it's lustrous gleaming beauty, with sound as crisp as ice and unseen footage to keep you going till Kingdom come, well, you should already be reaching for your wallet. Go the whole hog, get yourself a surround sound system and immerse yourself in a bygone world who's ripples still send shivers. There are scenes so well known that it's easy to become blase but with over 7 hours of extra footage of Elvis chatting, jamming, mucking around, getting it wrong, getting it oh so right and wearing the infamous black leather suit looking like a God dipped in oil, Elvis knows this is his moment again and boy does he take it to the maximum level. The voice that changed the world is one moment as raw as an expolding volcano the next as soft as a whisper in the ear on a moonlit night. Call yourself a fan of music? You NEED this deluxe dvd edition where, at last, the prodigal King returned... and how!

 ELVIS ... at his best !!!
Elvis at his best looking, arguably best sounding, and most creative, plays with his original drummer and guitarist, often in the first "unplugged" format, surrounded by fans on all four sides. Elvis is so close to the audience that it has a surreal quality to it. His voice is impeccable, raw, thick, and tough, at turns sweet and gentle for the ballads, and the skill with which he effortlessly and naturally moves between the two is amazing. This is a one of a kind experience showcasing arguably the best of the best of a brilliant career. Those who don't even think they like Elvis will be converts - incredible

 Genius At Work
This is a must have for all music lovers, regardless of era of music that you enjoy. Elvis just explodes on the screen and the sound is top notch to boot. This and Elvis for the next few years would show the talent that he had before bordom set in. It is in some ways sad to watch because so much talent went to waste by a bad manager and a record company that did not allow Elvis to just be what he was. This DVD shows Elvis in his natural form, just blues and the gender he started rock & roll. Elvis on stage by himself carries the show better then all the slick videos that is used for the so-called talent of today's corporate designed music. More sex appeal then any artist today, my how things have changed, I never look back, but Elvis is just out-of-sight on this disc. Enjoy!
