 The Best Songs sung by a Great Singer.
I purchased and played to death all Her Records in the 70's, they are still in my collection, and when I saw this CD I knew that I had to own a copy. I also purchased a copy for a friend who has not stopped playing it since it arrived, he is know in Australia as The Love God on FM radio.

 Unique Voice, Unique Stylist
This CD is a concise overview of Jane Oliver's career while she was actively recording. It is filled with beautiful vocals that highlight a voice that is unique and touching. Oliver also is capable of taking a popular song and styling it into her own unique creation. Listening to this CD, I experienced again the voice that I fell in love with years ago. That trembling vibrato filled with emotion gets me every time. There are very few truly unique singers these days. Jane Oliver is a unique singer.

 Nothing New?
OK, I admit it: I think that Jane Olivor can do no wrong. So why did I not give this release 5 stars? Because all of the material is recycled from previously available CDs (albeit the duet with Johnny Mathis was not on her CD previously). So why did I not rate it a 2? Because Jane Olivor's voice was/is just superb. Yes, I purchased three CDs initially to expose others to the absolute beauty and clarity of her voice, the range of emotions from her soul, the way her voice resembles at times a flute, an oboe, or a cello, depending on the musical needs. This "Best of" collection is a great way to introduce others to Jane's superb talents.

 Simply The Best
The best of the best. It is a great pleasure to have this wonderful songs together on one CD, highlighted by the marvelous duet with Johnny Mathis.
