Bobby Forester Organic Chemistry Songs Organic Chemistry Music Review Average Rating: (4.5 out of 5 stars) Down Home Jazz An organ trio at its best playing jazz. Recorded live in a club give you the combustion that makes the musicians play harder. If your foot doesn't tap to this cd then check your pulse. A first rate down home jazz recording. Tough, tender, propulsive set of great jazz The late Bobby Forrester was always great to see with Ruth Brown's band, and this CD showcases him at his best. The group swings like there's no tomorrow, and Bubba Brooks' big fat tenor sax is a revelation. Drummer Tootsie Bean and guitarist William Ash provide an intricate, churning undercurrent that is both tough and tender, and there is a very live, adventurous feel to the whole set. Check out the evocative version of Ellington's Mood Indigo -- it's the toughest, most romantic version I've ever heard.
This is great jazz, great organ jazz, and great blues all in one.

$13.45 Hammond B-3 boss Dr. Lonnie Smith ends up on yet another new label with Too Damn Hot!, the follow-up to his thoroughly enjoyable -- if curious -- Boogaloo to Beck outing from 2003. This studio set places the organist in the company of two fine guitarists -- Peter Bernstein ...

Organic Chemistry music CDs
$11.65 The CD version of HEY JUDESTER also contains the FIZZJOB LP. The cassette version contains only the HEY JUDESTER LP.
After a comparatively tepid debut, the Didjits amped up their guitar roar and stomped down hard on the accelerator for this second long-player, the first in a trio of furious punk rock & roll albums that celebrate brash arrogance, sarcasm, and dedicated hedonism. Hey Judester ...

| | Carlos Barbosa-Lima Carioca CD (2006)
Organic Chemistry album
$13.15 A national treasure in his native Brazil since launching his recording career as a teenager, guitarist Carlos Barbosa-Lima has a unique dual sense of history which he conveys beautifully on this heartfelt tribute to classic Brazilian music forms choro, chorino, and samba. One of his teachers was the great Andres Segovia, so he's always integrated a sense of classical grace into even his samba and jazz playing. No less than 13 of the 18 pieces on Carioca (meaning "native of Rio de Janeiro") have been arranged by the guitarist in a characteristic style which honors the integrity of various masters but also makes the pieces very much his own. These legends include choro composer Ernesto Nazareth (1863-1934), who composed the gentle title track, the brisk and lively "Odeon," and folkloric romp "Brejeiro" originally for piano. The hour-plus set also includes classics by Alfredo da Rocha Vianna Filho (1897-1973) ...
