This Limited Edition of "The Hunger For More" includes a bonus DVD.
Queens, New York-born Lloyd Banks couldn't have asked for a better stage on which to emerge. With 50 Cent's sudden ascension in 2003, his band of longtime mixtape stars, G-Unit, received a dose of national attention on the sturdy BEG FOR MERCY. The three-pronged attack of G-Unit is, as its name would imply, a collective effort, but on that record Banks repeatedly stole the show with his uncompromising, yet poetic rhymes and confident, wry delivery.
Banks makes his hotly anticipated debut with THE HUNGER FOR MORE, an album whose title sums up the tough, yet introspective artist, a ravenous rapper who devours words hungrily. The world is spinning around nonstop in Banks's brain, and there is clearly not enough time for it all to get out. However, in the course of THE HUNGER FOR MORE, he tackles everything from the simple topics of love and sex and life on the streets to problems like bad karma and getting racially profiled at the airport. His paramount ability may be his talent for taking a timeworn topic and transforming it into something fresh, as on "I Get High" (fittingly featuring 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg) and "If You So Gangsta." Banks deftly balances the hardcore, the poetic, and the melodic, and THE HUNGER FOR MORE portends great things for the rapper.

This is a album that you must buy! It is definitly a modern day classic, up there with Nas 'illmatic',50 cent 'Get rich or die trying',rODIUM- 'Fast n Slow' and Jay Z's 'Blueprint' album.
The production, as with any G-Unit affiliated album, is untouchable.
The album starts off with the great track 'Aint no click' feat tony yayo, which some of you might have seen at the end of the video for 'Karma'. The track (produced by havoc) has a good Jump off feel about it and pushes the album off to a good start.
Warrior started off as a song on the G uint mixtape 'G-Unit radio- and myself and a lot of people will tell you, it was instantly a smash, and can be see in at the end of the 'on fire'video clip.
The album's heat quickly gets white hot when 'On fire' (produced by Kl mil) bursts from your speakers. its a certified club banger and will have you dancing around your room.
Im so fly is also a great track and the beat (supplied by Timbaland) is so good, you wont be able to beleive your ears.
The highest point of the album is the track is 'til the end' feat. Nate dog. Its dark piano and moody sound has a nice understated melody and the beat (made my Eminem) is also a oxymoron, as it is a beautiful but brooding monster, that has been under rated in my opinion.
this G UNIT collectors edition also come with new artwork which is much better than the original and i would recommend it to anyone with or without the original copy. and because of this im going to get all of the collectors editions. Also recommend The Game album, 50 cents new album 'the massacre' which is 6 stars and rODIUM 'fast n slow' Submitted by conradmurray (London UK) Was This Review Helpful?
