Closed Captioned; Standard Screen; Additional Footage; Soundtrack English; English Subtitles; Director's Comments JOHNSON FAMILY VACATION is an all-ages comedy that breezily resolves family problems and offers some good clean fun along the way. Closely modeled after National Lampoon's VACATION films, star Cedric the Entertainer puts a modern slant on similar scenes and setups first introduced by comedian Chevy Chase. Both Steve Harvey and Cedric (who have collaborated on numerous projects including THE STEVE HARVEY SHOW and Spike Lee's THE ORIGINAL KINGS OF COMEDY) have successfully revived an old-school, Richard Pryor/Gene Wilder kind of comedy here. There's an amusing prayer scene where Harvey and Cedric try to outdo each other through the word of God. But mostly, this is Cedric's film and it shows in everything he does. Just easing himself into a too-hot hot tub is a winning stand up routine in itself.
The story follows Nate Johnson (Cedric), your basic insurance nerd at odds with his teenage children DJ (rapper Bow Wow) and Nikki (Solange Knowles), and his estranged wife Dorothy (luminous Vanessa Williams). Nate's mission is to road trip from L.A. to the Johnson family reunion in Missouri with a goal to snag the coveted "Family of the Year" trophy and trump Nate's painfully competitive, loudmouth brother (Harvey). A few cases of mistaken identity, a few random opportunities for hilarity (such as a wrestling match with a pet alligator), and a couple of encounters with the law, and the family finally reaches the reunion where they pull together a cool song-and-dance routine and set their sights on the huge trophy. Johnson Family Vacation Reviews: "It's an easygoing, earthy comedy that's a good showcase for the robust comic gifts of Cedric the Entertainer, abetted by fellow King of Comedy Steve Harvey and by glamorous and witty Vanessa Williams."-- Kevin Thomas, Los Angeles Times

When Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp), an eccentric rogue, arrives at Port Royal, he barely avoids going down with his ship. Soon enough, he's in the market for a new one, but not before he saves the life of Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley), the beautiful daughter of the governor (Jonathan Pryce). This act of bravery sets into motion a sweeping adventure involving Elizabeth's childhood friend, blacksmith Will Turner (Orlando Bloom); a mysterious medallion; and a legendary pirate ship, the Black Pearl. Johnson Family Vacation DVD
$9.29 The second and final volume in Quentin Tarantino's KILL BILL series is another stylish, sprawling masterwork. VOLUME 2 picks up where the first film left off, as The Bride (Uma Thurman) resumes her quest to track down her former mentor, Bill (David Carradine), and exact revenge. But before she gets to Bill, she must first take out the remaining minions who helped to slaughter her best friends and fiancé. First up is Budd (Michael Madsen), a quiet but dangerous country boy who lives in a trailer. Next is Elle Driver (Darryl Hannah), a one-eyed vixen who doesn't appear to have a heart--or a conscience. As The Bride makes her way closer to Bill, scenes from her past are revisited, including her training with the angry and brutal Pai Mei (Gordon Liu). Finally, The Bride locates her man, sparking a truly unforgettable confrontation.
In contrast to the nearly dialogue-free first volume, VOLUME 2 is filled with extended conversations that bring the story full circle. Thurman is once again riveting as the determined ...
