Brilliant. This CD is everything I could have hoped for and more. Kapustin's music is pure gold, seamlessly mixing jazz and classical styles, with a very healthy dose of pyrotechnics (but never for the sake of showing off). Hamelin's playing is solid, fresh, and surprising. He has found yet another vehicle through which to share his exceptional abilities, while always maintaining the highest level of artistic integrity. Kapustin and Hamelin: meeting of two great minds: joyful, spontaneous, and astonishing. Bravo.
