Are you bloody fracking high? Most of these songs are very well known. The mixing is sub par however, the songs are more juxtaposed into a mash up type mix as opposed to actual mixing.

The songs are not well known. I didn't recognize any of them. Should put some well known ones therefore your cd would be more atractive to people. Sorry but that's my personal opinion.

Wasting absolutely no time in compiling progressive house's finest moments of the past year, this annual starts off with Eric Prydz's smash European hit "Call on Me." This track not only brilliantly samples Steve Winwood's '80s pop hit "Valerie," but it sets the tone for the remainder of the two-disc set. Lots of percussive buildups and breakdowns, filtered and washed samples from pop music over the past two decades all placed over a hypnotic and relentless kick drum that is unforgiving at times. Those seeking exactly what Ministry of Sound has to offer year in and year out won't be disappointed, but those with a more discriminating palette may find this annual cumbersome after the first disc. As with many of Ministry's mix sets, this could have been parsed down to one outstanding disc rather than two good ones. Regardless, with all of the dance compilations out there, the Ministry of Sound still offers the best bang for the buck. Though Lillian, the collaborative album between Anticon producer Alias and his younger brother Ehren, is named after their grandmother, it's not a record that tells specific stories about her life, or anyone else's for that matter (this is no Rehearsing My Choir). Instead, like Brian Eno's soundscapes, the songs on Lillian give descriptions of ideas and places, of thoughts and emotions. Layers of keyboards and guitars slip around programmed beats like water over stones, and then the winds (played by Ehren) -- the alto and soprano saxes, the flute, the clarinet -- slide their way in and add a nice organic quality to the otherwise electronic sound. Lillian is pretty, sad music for early morning, when the sun is not yet on the horizon but the air is light and objects around are muted, nearly monochromatic.
