White Light Rock & Roll Review album for sale Product Description
White Light Rock & Roll Review album for sale by Matthew Good was released Jun 15, 2004 on the Universal Distribution label. WHITE LIGHT ROCK & ROLL REVIEW is the sophomore release from Matthew Good. "Put Out Your Lights," "Empty Road," and "Blue Skies Over Bad Lands" are among the tracks White Light Rock & Roll Review songs. Continuing to mix harder radio-friendly rock with reflective melancholic and melodic ballads, Matthew Good wastes little time getting the fist-pumping polished nuggets out on "Put Out Your Lights." The tune sounds as if it's not quite finished but leads into a meaty and alluring rock-cum-political rant on "Poor Man's Grey." The tune brings to mind fellow Canadian Danko Jones in certain spots, with its simple yet infectious no-nonsense beat. White Light Rock & Roll Review CD music contains a single disc with 12 songs. ...See Full Description

| Good is Rock and Roll This is no "Avalanche", but then that was one of the greatest albums ever, period. No lushness of production here, just mainly shorter, sharp jabs of obtuse observation by Matt Good. He does not put out a dud album and this is no exception. The opening track, "Put Out Your Lights" sets up the album. Other stand outs are "Alert Status Red", "Empty Road", "Buffalo Seven" the Who homage "Ex-Pats Of The Blue Mountain Symphony Orchestra" and the excellent "It's Been A While Since I Was Your Man" which is as close to a cut off "Avalanche" that you will find. Top drawer stuff by an excellent artist By Geoff Read (Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, Australia) This review is for a different format. |

Canada's king of angst-pop first post-Matthew Good Band solo project. Says Matthew,"When I set out to write this record I promised myself that if I was going to continue making records I would do it to satisfy the desire within myself to discover something that I hadn't yet. As a writer, as a person, etc. So as I wrote the record I confronted a lot of aspects of making music that I had never allowed myself to before. And in the ...
