In the mid-'70s, Genesis appeared to be at the most crucial crossroads of their career. With lead singer Peter Gabriel leaving and drummer Phil Collins taking over vocal duties, many critics dismissed Genesis as having their best days behind them. This disc is not an unsanctioned look at the group during these years, including rare interviews and previously unreleased snippets of live recordings during this time. It's not something that casual listeners will find interesting, but die-hard fans may want to pick this up just for the insight and live recordings. ~ Rob Theakston Inside Genesis 1975-1980 Music Inside Genesis 1975-1980 Music Review Average Rating: (1.8 out of 5 stars) Very sad It's very sad seeing this once great band turn into a silly pop band. Phil Collins helped destroy the image of what was left of Genesis. No Steve Hackett, no Peter Gabriel, no Genesis. I don't know why this was even released. Everything what they say here are lies. Watching this made me very depressed. Submitted by Ivan Morley (Smithville, NY) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 4 of 5 found this helpful.
Boring talk Genesis got worse not better after Steve Hackett and Peter Gabriel left. They need to realize that! Submitted by shyt (azzhole CA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 3 of 4 found this helpful.
Genius? How is there any intelligence in turning a great rock band into a joke of a pop band? Poserfans are too dumb to know the truth. Submitted by fukktard (fukktard CA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 3 of 4 found this helpful.
Phil just got lazy didn't care about how bad the music was nor even played real drums. He has a book out called "Ode to Stupidity" and a how-to book with step by step instuctions on selling out your fans and music. Submitted by juk (fukkyou CA) Was This Review Helpful? Listen to the genius of Phil! Take his words to heart and you too can be a rock star, instead of a loser living in your mom's basement, worshipping at the altar of St. Peter and hoping someone would invent a time machine, so you could perpetually stay in 1975. Inside Genesis 1975-1980
$11.79 FROM LUXURY TO HEARTACHE is a 13-track release by U.K. pop quartet Culture Club, featuring "Move Away," "I Pray," and "Gusto Blusto." For their fourth album, From Luxury to Heartache, Culture Club jettisoned producer Steve Levine in favor of pop/R&B veteran Arif Mardin, seeking to reverse the commercial decline they had suffered with their third album. When the danceable leadoff track, "Move Away," rose into the singles chart, that seemed ...

Inside Genesis 1975-1980
$11.95 Personnel: Brent Williams (violin); Steven Stark (cello); Matt Blagg, Ricky Brooks (trumpet); Kevin Webb (trombone); Ryan Lindsey (piano). Recording information: Bell Labs (06/2005-11/2005). Editors: Allan Vest; Andy Nunez; Trent Bell. The Starlight Mints, purveyors of blissfully whimsical pop music, have always had a certain maybe-less-ISN'T-more attitude toward orchestration. The Oklahoma band's previous albums featured violins, cellos, and horns on top of the requisite guitars and drums. But on DROWATON, their third full-length album, the Mints take this tendency to new, more expansive levels of symphonic richness and complexity, creating a lush, dense sound reminiscent of the Beatles at the height of their studio trickery. The keyboards and co-ed harmonizing, the brass and strings, the romper-room bass lines and surreal lyrics all combine to form a lovely album of infectious, orchestral psych-pop. With their engaging third full-length, the Starlight ...

| | Yung Flint Deep In The Game CD (2006)
Inside Genesis 1975-1980
$10.15 From the days of free-styling at private parties to performing at area colleges, Damien “Yung Flint” Phillips has been sure to capture the crowd and uplift them. This outspoken individual from Mid-Michigan began a rap career at the age of 17 in a small suburb in Flint, MI. Yung Flint was known mostly for playing football and getting into trouble until he and a friend performed at his high school talent show and was able to excite a crowd of around 200 people. With smooth beats and aggressive vocals they were able to “move the crowd”. Over the years Yung Flint had to overcome several personal struggles and decided a long delayed overdue trip to Louisville, KY to stay with family would be his ideal place for relocation. After moving to Louisville Yung Flint immediately united with a group of talented musicians (Korrey “K. Matt” Mattingly, Rodney Ham, and Marquis “De Nables” Curry) who were in the early stages of writing, recording and eventually forming the Independent record label Head Bobbin’ Entertainment. Damien “Yung Flint” Phillips who has always had a savvy for business wanted to do more helped with the success of the labels first album release HBE Compilation in 2001. Once the labels first release showed signs of success Flint stayed humble and kept working hard in the studio creating classic music. Yung Flint’s distinct vocal style, delivery and street gritty rhymes are what set him apart from other emcees in the hip hop industry. In 2003, Yung Flint and his label partners decided his debut solo album would be the next release off their label. Yung Flint’s album “Deep in the Game” sold several thousand throughout the Midwest and South regions, and received ...
