| | Playstation 2 Super Monkey Ball Deluxe (PS2) (5 Customer Reviews)
Compilation/re-release of the GameCube classics for Xbox and PlayStation 2. Super Monkey Ball Deluxe features more than 300 different stages. The developers took all 114 levels from the original Super Monkey Ball, 140 from Super Monkey Ball 2, and added 46 exclusive boards made specifically for the PS2/Xbox Deluxe edition. There is also an all-new Challenge mode that slowly guides players through beginner, intermediate, and advanced obstacles instead of dividing the difficulty settings into different sections. Additionally, the Story Mode will boast extra stages not seen before, and all 12 party games from both GameCube Super Monkey Balls are included to make sure that Super Monkey Ball Deluxe is also the definitive multiplayer installment in the franchise. Super Monkey Ball Deluxe Games Review Average Rating: (3 out of 5 stars) HORRIBLE I played it for 2 seconds and was dizzier then hell! DO NOT recommend it! My son who is addicted to games and can handle anything said he was dizzy and had to lay down after! Submitted by brodyandbryce (Hibbing MN USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Great Fun! The mini games are the best! This is really a fun game for up to 4 people. The competition is great. We love the parachutes, fighting, and shooting games. We do not play the main adventure game at all. We go directly to the mini game section. It has something for everyone and provides hours of fun. IT ROCKZ I think its cool i dont know what the other guy is talking about dizzness. It is a whacky monkey brawl game and some mini/party games are... Monkey fight, monkey boat, monkey golf (mini & regular),Monkey shot (my personal favorite), and monkey tennis just to name a few.! :) Submitted by theguy (Wallingford,CT,USA) Was This Review Helpful? This Is a Multiplayer game! If you played the Monkey Ball games for Gamecube, this is just as good. The single player game isn't great but who buys Monkey Ball for a single player game?! I agree with the last review that the single player camera is not very good (but I did't find it dizzying after I adjusted myself to the horrible camera). Anyway, It's a fantastic multiplayer game with loads of different mini games to play (none of which are dizzying). If you like wacky multiplayer games this is one to own. Super Monkey Ball Deluxe game
$11.19 Tekken Tag Tournament is a lightning fast port of the arcade game that boasts a 20-fighter plus cast of characters and one of the most famous control methods in gaming -- one button per limb. In addition, it has evolved from a conventional one-to-one competition into a tag battle with two characters for each team. Gamers can even choose to play against three friends using a multi-tap, participate in a traditional two-player tournament, or hone their fighting skills against the computer. Other features for TTT include enhanced visuals over the arcade version and additional game modes.
It should come as no surprise that Tekken Tag Tournament will hit the shelves on PS2's opening day. It first appeared as a tech demo way back when - and damn, did it look good. And while the game may not look as convincingly realistic as it did back then, it still manages to impress. Its release is imminent and that's a good thing for anyone who has been patient enough to wait for the US launch. For the most part, gameplay remains untouched with a few tweaks here and there. Although TTT plays just like its arcade cousin, it looks like a million dollars (almost what I paid for my Metal Gear Solid DVD - sigh). The difference is like night and day - a few thousand extra polys per fighter go a long long way. Jin Kazama is ripped; his highly defined back muscles are visible during battle, not just the intro. And wait 'til you get a load of Nina. It's not just the fighters that see new enhancements, backgrounds receive nearly as much master detail. Yoshi's winter forest set is stunning, with snowflakes falling in a seemingly random manner; the snow-covered ground has a convincing effect - it appears bumpy. Eddie's grassy field is also quite impressive, with cheering onlookers. Visual effect like hit animations light up the screen as brilliant as Disneyland's daily pyrotechnics show.
In Namco tradition, Tekken Tag Tournament is full of goodies to keep rabid (not avid) fans happy. Tekken Bowl, as crazy as is may sound, is a lot of fun. Just imagine the entire Tekken cast out hitting the local alley on Saturday night. Each fighter has his or her own skill set which makes for really interesting matches. It's like reliving League Bowling on the Neo Geo. Juke Box mode permits you to choose the tuneage, but only after scoring 200 in Tekken Bowl. With our luck maybe Namco will throw in another few bonus treats (We still haven't seen Pac-Man in Tekken) but, if not, TTT is still as sweet as a TT, Audi, that is.
