||My personal favorite|
This one is my favorite Paul Simon solo album. I have listened to it so many times, because the songs are all top-notch, as is the guitar playing. This reissue is fantastic. The sound is great, and the bonus tracks are cool. Duncan has totally different words and a somewhat different melody, and Paranoia Blues has an extra verse and is a very different but cool version of the song. There's also an interesting version of Me & Julio. And that's just the bonus tracks. The original 11 songs on the album are simply amazing. I can't get enough. This is some of the best singer/songwriter/guitar-player music out there. If you haven't heard Peace Like A River, you are missing out. I love this album.

||A drastic debut|
Paul Simon split from Simon & Garfunkel in a musically powerful statement. It's spare but folky production is quite unlike any Simon & Garfunkel record, but that helps Paul keep his head on straight when writing these songs. The result is the real flowering of one of the greatest songwriters of the sixties. Here, he brings everything to light, and more. He feels so confident and cool that he doesn't even have to say it. The hits ("Mother And Child Reunion" and "Me And Julio Down By The Schoolyard") are not the best cuts of the album, and they aren't the worst. All of the songs have the same great quality, which may or not be a rarity in Paul's case. Overall, definitely worth a spin if you like the guy, and if you like his music.

||Simon burn's his bridges!|
This album being Simon's first after the split from Garfunkel is pure brilliance.Being a complete change from the famous 'Bridge' album it shows Simons talent at its raw best.Superb guitar playing combined with marvellous lyrics and melodic harmony even puts this album ahead of 'Graceland' for me. Classic stand out tracks include 'Me and Julio' and 'Duncan' but the lesser known tracks are all superb.This is that most unusual of albums-one without a weak track.My own favourite is 'Peace like a River' with its harmonic throwback to 'Only Living Boy In New York' off the 'Bridge' album. Buy this!You'll never regret it!

This is the one that was given to us before the last one was reprinted in code. OK but longer than the previous and softer in light areas. Looking forward to much more paths in cd areas for me.So happy.

This is a non digital copy of this album. The shortcuts have been removed and the lines are missing.Still the songs themselves are good considering they were all copied from other people.Why all the audience noise on the bonus disc? The Rykodisc cds were better.Paul Simon has done better.Namely his great cd which was released back in June.
