Dr. Andrew Weil's Breathing: The Master Key to Self-Healing is a double-disc set that comprehensively explains and demonstrates different forms of therapeutic breathing and their benefits. Indeed, the first disc is nothing but Weil's explanation of the benefits of "breathwork," assuring that the listener is well-grounded in his yoga-based pranayama (energy-increasing) techniques. The second disc puts these theories into practice, with Dr. Weil guiding the listener through eight relaxing and energizing breath excercises. Unlike his 1997 set Sound Body, Sound Mind, Breathing contains very little music, but for anyone interested in learning and mastering Eastern-based breathing techniques, it's an essential audio guide. ~ Heather Phares
