| | Zach Aaron Still Dreaming CD Zach Aaron Discography of CDs
NAME: Zach AaronAGE: Twenty-FiveSIGN: Capricorn, with Sagittarius rising.FAVORITE PLACE: California coastline near San Luis Obispo. I'm in love with standing on the foggy cliffs and staring out at the giant jagged rocks jetting out of the water.MUSICAL INFLUENCES INCLUDE: Billy Joel, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Simon and Garfunkel, Counting Crows, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Guns & Roses, Elton John, The Beatles, Remy Zero, Amiee Mann, Joe Satriani, Aerosmith, and many more that might surprise you.POLIICAL IDEALS: I say let's cut military spending in half, give everyone free healthcare and free education all the way through college. Let's stop locking drug addicts in jail and lock them in rehab instead. Let's raise minimum wage to $10 an hour, and let's realize that there's enough to go around, but we're ALL a little self absorbed; myself included.CONTROVERSIAL COMMENT: If I had to choose between either pot or alcohol being illegal, I'd choose alcohol to be illegal. Right now, while several drunk people are driving into oncoming traffic or stumbling down staircases, there are several stoned people glued to a couch, trying to figure out what it all means.AMBITIONS: Traveling the world with my music, making friends along the way, and inspiring as many people as possible.BIGGEST FEAR: Lost opportunities.LIFE CHANGING EVENT: When I experienced and therefore realized that Everything is One. ..And I should make a point to tell you that this was NOT with the aid of hallucinogenic drugs. But in all seriousness, a few years ago, I had a mystical experience in which I experienced a powerfully tangible feeling of unity with all life and existence.A FAVORITE QUOTE: "Today, a young man on acid realized that all matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration and that we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively; there's no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and you are the imagination of yourself." - Bill Hicks, Comedian.MY GREATEST CHALLENGE: One of my greatest strengths also ends up being my greatest weakness.. I think.. And I think... And then I think some more.. and I tend to intellectualize everything to the point of exhaustion. Sometimes I think about things for so long that I miss out on the simple pleasures in life... Like flying kites! I often wonder why I can't loosen up a bit and just FEEL things out. I guess I trust my intellect more than my emotions.ARTIST STATEMENT: "Don't die with your music still in you." Karen turned me onto this quote by Wayne Dyer, which I can really relate to as an independent artist who's about to release my debut album.I had an amazing time recording these songs and aimed to capture a sound that's deeply honest and yet lighthearted. I hope I achieved that and I'm looking forward to hearing the feedback from fans and critics as well.
Personnel: Zach Aaron (vocals, various instruments); Karen Morelock, Pro J, Jeff Gass. Recorded at Fablejack Productions, Gardena, California.

Still Dreaming
$14.79 Bob Stewart has been rated "Number 1 male jazz/cabaret Singer" by AMG ALL MUSIC GUIDEWHAT THE CRITICS SAY:"They've just about all gone. All the great crooners, Crosby, Sinatra, Haymes, Eckstine and so many more that used to sing songs that had real melodies and words that were literate and meaningful. Almost all gone, because we nostalgics still have Bob Stewart and his new "Love Songs" album(VWCD-4111).Jo Stafford used to call the onset of Rock and Roll. "The Reign of Terror," and how right she was- it drove good music away and into hiding. But Bob is still around, singing in the New York area and his new album has him backed with silky strings and a swinging band doing the songs of yesteryear. His voice is still vibrant. tostesterone filled, lovingly wrapped around tunes like "Night and Day" and "The More I See You".Hear the way his tongue lingers over the word kisssss!Say what you will about Bob, There's no denying that he gets into his songs, he gets involved. When he sings, for instance, "More mad about you, more lost without you," you have to believe he means it."Love Songs" is lush, textured and romantic - and where will you find romance in the songs of Britney Spears or the other screamers they call singers these days?"Ken Meades, Radio Station WNOS,New Bern, NC"...he has a marvelous sense of phrasing and a "fin de siecle" worldliness comparable to Sinatra in his prime. This is someone who has drunk deeply from life!"...Chuck Berg, JAZZ TIMES"...Bob Stewart has one of the very best voices that I have ever heard!"...Ervin Drake, composer, "It Was A Very Good Year," "I Believe," Good Morning Heartache," more."...Sinatra died, Hartman died, Joe Williams died. --Thank God, we have Bob Stewart!"...Robert B. Parker author,"Spenser For Hire""...his sound is like the softest velvet. He created a lush seductive moment. The kind that tempt one to reach over to a loved one for a surreptitious hug or kiss. His treatment of lyrics has the touch of a master!"...VARIETY, Martin Schaeffer"...a lyrically brilliant and sensitive vocal style. Bob Stewart ...
