| Destined to become a Christmas Classic Elf is not a Hollywood blockbuster, and perhaps that's a good thing for a Christmas movie. One thing is for sure, it is a truly wonderful holiday film. This is the type of movie that the entire family will enjoy. It may be a bit too much for teens who think that they are too cool for simple fun, but the majority of children will like it. Will Ferrell is loads of laughs, and while James Caan's character gives Scrooge a run for the money through most of the show, the ending is as sweet as a Christmas classic can be. Highly recommended for family viewing. Ho Ho Ho! By dcaprio (St. Crox, U.S. Virgin Islands) |

Once upon a Christmas Eve, an orphan baby crawled into Santa's bag of gifts and was taken to the North Pole. Raised by Papa Elf (Bob Newhart), Buddy (Will Ferrell) comes to realise he doesn't fit in with the other elves. Determined to find a place where he belongs, Buddy searches for his real dad - in New York City!
In the Big Apple, Buddy finds out why his dad (James Caan) is on the naughty list! But most importantly, he sees that the world is seriously lacking in Christmas spirit, which causes Santa all kinds of problems!
