Mac Dre albums keep comin', faster than the quality would make you believe. Not that Ronald Dregan: Dreganomics is a masterpiece, but if you get a chuckle from the cover, you'll get a chuckle from the lighthearted album -- that being the hood version of "lighthearted." Mac Dre is a comedic, hedonistic personality/celebrity in the Bay Area, and knowing his story helps with the fun. "Thizzle" is a word that shows up in his work a lot, this time in the great party jam "Jump It," as in "Let me see if you can do the thizzle wiggle." The deepest comment he'll ever make on corrupt cops is that getting arrested by them makes you late for the party and they always seem to apprehend the best weed. Plenty of limited comedy rap acts with cults built around them have run out of steam long before they ran out of albums. Ronald Dregan is sleazy, unpretentious proof that Mac Dre isn't one of them. His albums all sound the same, and for once, that's a good thing. ~ David Jeffries

its only an ok cd
im a huge mac dre fan and this aint nearly his best cd its not even in the same zip code. all you fools that are like 16-18 and just recently got up on mac dre young black brotha, rompalation, stupid doo doo dumb are where he truly shines. the beats may be a lil different but his lyrics and rappin about his life are where he really shines. all the partying and slang are all good but the origions in yay area slang started way back when you fools were in elementary school and middle school. i got up on mac dre back in 96, 10 years ago. the personnas are crazy and all good but its not like mac dres carrer just started he was in the game for many years before new fans took notice around the time that thizzelle washington came out. since 84, get stupid are the best tracks on this cd. feelin myself is cool but 3c romp, gumbo, la 2 the bay, back in the hood, punk police, crestsidahz, are 20 times the song that feelin myself is.
