This IS a SOLID debut. Don't sleep on Strong Arm Steady I agree that this a a very strong debut by Phil. For new fans this is very worthwhile. Attractions also would be the guest artists, but being introduced to Phil himself you will find his rhymes keep up. The production is all original stuff and TIGHT!! I'm bangin a few tracks in my club in case he gets slept on- I suggest that others spread this in December in your rides or to friends.
I've also picked up the Strong Arm Steady Mixtapes. If you have caught them or X to the Z in concert you will find they are one of the top crews in the West to be reckoned with. Aromatic proves Phil's place as a solo artist and as one fourth of Strong Arm Steady.

Strong Debut I just picked this up and it actually suprised me. its better than i expected with lyrics and beats. Phil does a good job on his debut but i dont see his career goin anywhere except for making featured apperances on Xzibit albums or talib kweli joints. overall its worth buying and its just solid, straight forward west coast rap. | | Masta Killa Made In Brooklyn CD (2006)
Aromatic
$13.49 On MADE IN BROOKLYN, hip-hop heads get a chance to see just how far Masta Killa has come as an MC. Since his first appearance on "Da Mystery of Chessboxin," Killa was noted for his stylistic similarities to the GZA. From the late '90s on, his flow has evolved into one of the most understated deliveries in hip-hop--a chillingly straightforward minimalist monotone. MADE IN BROOKLYN is a solid effort, thanks largely to participation from a slew of super-producers (including MF Doom, PF Cuttin', ...
| | Little Brother Getback CD (2007)
Aromatic
$12.39 Little Brother: Phonte (vocals, background vocals); Pooh (vocals). Personnel: Zo! (various instruments); Stan 'The Trumpet Man' Graham, Stan Graham (trumpet); Sheldon Williams, Sheldon Williams (keyboards); Khrysis (bass guitar); Muhsinah, DJ Cosmos (programming). Additional personnel: Carlitta Durand, Dion, Lil Wayne, Darien Brockington, Jozeemo (rap vocals). Recording information: Chopp Shopp Studios, Durham, NC. Author: Pooh . On Little Brother's third studio album GETBACK, 9th Wonder backs off the boards, producing just one cut and yielding production credits to Illmind, Khrysis, Mr. Porter, Nottz, Rashid Hadee, Zo!, and Hi-Tek. The end result is still an incredibly cohesive LP that relies on elevated lyricism and true-school reverence. Phonte and Big Pooh continue to hone their already-impressive mic skills, deconstructing narratives behind brand name materialism, myths of celebrity glamour, and flimsy arguments that blame hip-hop for society's ills. Lil Wayne, Carlitta Durand, Darien Brockington, Jozeemo, and Dion make guest appearances. GETBACK is another example of innovative hip-hop from one of the underground's most talented acts. It should be an easy story to tell: vaunted rap group loses the producer who made them a quality act, then slowly sinks back into the underground, never to be heard from again. From Get Back, it's clear that Little Brother didn't mind the loss of 9th Wonder and decided to rewrite the script. Not only do Phonte and Pooh sound like nothing has changed, ...
