Where Our Love Grows album for sale Product Description
Where Our Love Grows album for sale by Swing Out Sister was released Aug 31, 2004 on the MSI Music Distribution label. The catchy pop sound of Swing Out Sister proved popular in the 1980s, with the duo scoring a number of hits. Where Our Love Grows buy CD music This 2004 album finds them sculpting a more mature, jazz-influenced sound. The opener of Where Our Love Grows, Swing Out Sister's eighth proper studio album, will knock out fans of the group's perfectly huge and swanky production. "Love Won't Let You Down" is a brassy stunner and a great way to high kick the door open, but it gives way to the lesser title track, a sweet number but nothing approaching a single. ...See Full Description

| A Solid Effort Having been a Swing Out Sister fan since their first album, this represents a solid effort from the group and is much better than their previous album, however it doesn't contain that one "breakout" single that they craft so well. By saint787 (West Bloomfiled, MI, USA) |

| Eric L.'s favorite Band Swingout sister is one of the rare music groups that take you on a journey through the mind of the producer & the Heart of the musicians to a euphoric place of slender & ealation as well as satifying a hidden musical hunger that you never knew you had. Somewhere Deep in the Night CD (2002)
Where Our Love Grows album for sale U.K. jazz pop group Swing Out Sister play 14 thoughtful and emotional songs on this 2001 release, which features "Will We Find Love" and "Vital THing."
From their inception in 1985, Swing out Sister expressed love for the lush soft pop, soul, and soundtracks of the 1960s and early '70s. Vocalist Corinne Drewery and keyboardist Andy Connell were singing the praises of Burt Bacharach, Jimmy Webb, and John Barry back when those great artists were thought to be the definition of square and unhip. Now that those same artists are revered (and widely sampled and copied) by mainstream and alternative musicians alike, Swing out Sister may be regarded as following, rather than leading, the retro-pack of modern lounge music-makers. Somewhere Deep in the Night is a very strong album from the duo, packed full of sweeping, melancholy tunes that echo Bacharach or Webb, while the album is held together by lush instrumental themes that seem straight out of a '60s soundtrack album by Barry or Quincy Jones. (In keeping with this theme, the album art even features the comely Drewery wearing the same groovy jumpsuit that Diana Rigg made famous on The Avengers, the show that defined Britain in the swinging '60s.) That said, Swing out Sister brings plenty of their own musical ideas and long-held style to the table and continues to show that they've grown as songwriters over the years. Somewhere Deep in the Night is a rich album, but it uses its sumptuous, melodramatic arrangements to sugar rather bleak songs of confusion and lost love (the best of which are "Where the Hell Did I Go Wrong" and "Where Do I Go?"), rather than simply dazzle the listener with retro-schmaltz. Indeed, the album grows deeper with each spin instead of just making you curious about the old records that were Swing out Sister's original inspirations. ~ Nick Dedina
Originally released in Japan in 2001, SOS have reunited with original producer Paul O'Duffy to create a work of recorded art that is sublime and strikingly cinematic. The range of material goes from beautiful ballads to pop sophistication, echoing the brilliance of Brian Wilson's 'Pet Sounds' era, the classic era of Michel Legrand or Francis Lai and the class of Burt Bacharach. SOS have produced a brilliant ephemeral soundtrack to a new generation.

Beautiful Mess CD (2008)
Where Our Love Grows CD music Swing Out Sister's grand BEAUTIFUL MESS was issued by Avex Trax in Japan in 2008, and licensed by Shanachie for release in July of 2009. While the duo of lead vocalist Corrine Drewery and musical arranger and multi-instrumentalist Andy Connell fell off the musical radar slightly during the 1990s, the duo have consistently made fresh, sophisticated, and compelling pop since their inception in the 1980s when they scored big worldwide hits such as "Breakout" and "Twilight World." BEAUTIFUL MESS finds the pair engaging a full band that includes the vocal backing group Gina Foster and the Champagnettes as well as string arrangements and excellent guitar and piano parts. The set is also more jazz-inflected, though its pop roots are unmistakable and prevalent. This is musical sophistication presented with grace and an unpretentious accessibility.
Audio Mixer: Andy Connell.
