Leif Kolt was born December of 1981, in Petoskey, Michigan, a small town in the frigid northern part of the state. Growing up he was painting and drawing constantly, and can recall the first time he recorded his own voice onto a small tape player with a built in microphone. In high school, Leif learned to play guitar, began writing poetry, and discovered psychedelic drugs, delving deeper into his artistic development. It wasn’t until 1999, his freshman year of college, when he began to freestyle rap, and landed a co-host position on WUPX, a college radio station in Marquette, Michigan. This is when he first developed his thirst to perform, and ultimately, where he honed his lyrical skills. That same Christmas Leif’s mother purchased him the most important gifts of his life; a microphone and PC recording software. Within months he had recorded his first ‘album’, Adam’s Eve, and began circulating CD’s to friends and family.
