The best of Christopher Walken's appearances on Saturday Night Live. DVD special features include auditions, photo gallery, dress rehearsals, outtakes, TV appearances. One of the most distinctive performers in Hollywood, Christopher Walken's incredibly broad range of talent was on display in full force during his tenure as host of Saturday Night Live. His skill as a dancer, on view in Spike Jonze's award winning-video for Fatboy Slim's "Weapon of Choice," is once again brought to light here in the hilarious "Boulevard of Broken Balls." His popular incarnation as "The Continental," in which he plays a suave Don Juan directly addressing the camera, makes two appearances, as well as Walken's spoof of the character he plays in the film THE DEAD ZONE, trivial physic Ed Glosser. Rounding out the selection is the famous Cowbell skit, featuring Walken as music producer Bruce Dickinson in the studio with Blue Oyster Cult. In addition to all the audience favorites, the collection includes a couple of skits taped during dress rehearsal and have never been seen until now.

I bought this thinking it would be the infamous "Cowbell" skit with a lot of filler. How wrong I was! This DVD really shows how Christopher Walken has a quirky sense of comedic timing that equally matches his legendary dramatic instincts.

Must Have Walken
This is must have Chris Walken. Chris does what few actors achieve, he makes characters that everyone can relate to. His unique mannerisms and comedic timing (see the opening "Hardball" skit or the never before seen "angel of death" skit in the extra selection) will make this a favorite in any SNL lovers collection.
