Phutureprimitive is the work of DJ and producer Rain, whose music brings together several related genres including but not limited to trance, electronica, and dub. These related styles represent developments in computer and recording technology. Clearly, this album is result of fabulous advancements in gear and gadgets.
Nonetheless, SUB CONSCIOUS is not merely a technical achievement, but is quite artful. Additionally, Rain's deep-pocketed grooves and stimulating musical colors illuminate the craftiness of this release. "Rites of Passage" is a menacing track that begins with the sound of heavy breathing and an ominous drum beat. "Darkness" kicks it up to another level, due to the intricate keyboard textures and foreboding bass line. With "Submerge," Rain tickles the senses as electronic sounds buzz, squeak, and squeal in the foreground. However, the highlight of the album is "Spanish Fly (Flamenco Dub Pt.1)," a tune that combines sleek percussion with a flamenco guitar and a sensual Middle Eastern vocal melody. Rain has once again taken cold electronic sounds and used them to create an organic, often poignant, musical statement.

It's not about just techno noise Its Phutureprimitive grooves for girls and boys. This movement is Crazy. Take it from someone who's drank the water from a vine leaf, Chilled many times with KIN. The Title Speaks For Itself...... If you like exotic electronica with a tribal twist then you will like this album.
It is refreshing to have something sound this good and be so different from the mainstream garbage you hear on the radio.
I will buy the next album from this group whenever it is available. Submitted by oziris44 (Somewhere, Fl) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Sub Conscious CD music
$16.45 Here it is...as our beer and wine soaked brains manage to remember it....from the cradle to the barn, the unpolished turd...the unfiltered history of the Farm!!!The old mates K-Riot(Hellmoppers) and Valen(Köttgrottorna) had been playing together in various bands such as Slita Ficka and Hela Huset Skakar, back then K-Riot was playing drums but had a bleedin´urge to become a singer and to play some guitar....Two guitars, vocals and drums, a kinda Cramps rock`n´roll....In the year of `99, we found Kalle(Bröderna Marx)who played drums until he finaly got lost during the early years of the Sonic evolution. Then we found the dynamic-duo:Mattias and John (Barndomslandet) who joined us on bass and drums, after 1 or 2 gigs, this line-up somehow suddenly went up in smoke....shortly after Valen bumps into an other old friend, Trassel a.k.a Ego T.Superstar(The Part-Time Posers) altought he already was playing in 3 bands he was asked to join the Farm....Ego leaves one of his bands to become the new bassplayer for the Sonic Farm (hhhmm...wonder if he regrets that he just a few months earlier had been given away his bassguitar to Captain Sensible to get his hands on a 12-string Hohner?) The search for a new drummer ended with Jimmy(Radioaktiva Räker) behind the drumkit. In April 2005 Sonic Farm was recorded by Mattias, once a member of the ...
