Greatest Hits album Product Description
Additional personnel includes: George Michael, David Bowie, Montserrat Caballe, Elton John. Even more remarkable than the number of different Queen collections with nearly identical track listings and artwork which are available is the fact that every one of them is pretty much beyond reproach -- such is the quality of the band's magnificent legacy. This particular version of their Greatest Hits features the original vinyl sequence and artwork. | What a great deal! This CD contains the 2001 remaster of Greatest Hits, previously only available as either an expensive Japanese import or in the U.S. 'Platinum Collection'. As a bonus, you get the rare single mix of "I'm In Love With My Car" and two awesome live tracks from the upcoming "On Fire At The Bowl" (Milton Keynes) DVD and CD releases. This is an excellent value for a very classy and high quality product. By Jeffrey (Wichita, KS USA) |
| Redundant I'm a die-hard Queen fan. In fact, you could even say that Queen is my favorite band, but after "Classic Queen," "Greatest Hits (U.S.)," the "Greatest Hits 1 & 2" box set, the "Platinum Collection" and about four live albums, what purpose could this album possibly serve? I suppose for the collector of Queen albums, it might be nice to have, but other than that, I don't see any other purpose this could possibly serve. By a person (the U.S.A.) |
| Just OK I am a huge Queen fan. This is finally the CD release of Elektra's 1981 vinyl Greatest Hits in the US. Rehash, but at least it's a legitimate release and not a new compilation. The sound production is way too tinny for Queen, it sounds like the radio station copy that turns the bass way down. This is my biggest gripe. The live songs included give us a little peek at the steller performance from 1982 that will be released later this year as Live From The Bowl. There will be a CD and a DVD release. | Do We Really Need Another Queen's Greatest Hits? This collection contains material that has already been released (with the exception of a few unreleased cuts) and as far as I'm concerned this is typical of a record company trying to milk more money out of the consumer. If you already own Queen's "Classic Queen" and Queen's "Greatest Hits" cd's released and remastered in 1992 then why would anyone want another Queen collection of hits (by the way this latest is missing "Keep Yourself Alive" one the band's best early hits)? | Christmas Gift for teenager. My husband and I are both fans of Queen and we were amazed that our teenage daughter wanted a cd of them for Christmas. We don't have any style most days, you know. This cd had so many great Queen songs that she liked and we do too. Best compilation we've seen yet. By deanna (California) |
