In the early 2000s, the proven success of Wind-Up Records acts (particularly Creed) positioned the label to develop a number of new artists, including the post-grunge band 12 Stones. The group's momentum was due in no small part to singer Paul McCoy's Grammy-winning guest vocal on "Bring Me to Life," the single that broke labelmates Evanescence into the mainstream. The wealth of experiences gained by touring with like-minded contemporaries Nickelback and 3 Doors Down primed 12 Stones to make POTTER'S FIELD, the group's follow-up to their 2002 debut. In their equally shared writing process, the quartet adopts a fierce melodic-yet-accessible approach, presenting a set of instantly memorable songs, including the hard-driving "Far Away" and the melancholy "Photograph." Although heavy power chords are the order of the day here, the uncertainty of "Stay" and the vulnerability of "The Last Song" show that 12 Stones can rock out with both heart and volume.
12 Stones: Paul McCoy (vocals); Greg Trammell, Eric Weaver (guitar); Aaron Gainer (drums, background vocals).
12 Stones Potter's Field Songs Potter's Field Music Review Average Rating: (4 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews great cd! i gave it 4 stars because their previous cd has more good songs on it (this one DOES have a bunch of good songs, and i LOVE "far away"...such a great song!!!)
now i know you're thinking, "wait, he gave it 5 stars, is he stupid?"
no, i changed my mind after listening to "far away" again. that song alone makes the cd worth 5 stars. (if the rest of the cd sucked, i wouldn't rate it 5 stars...get the cd) Submitted by hockeyhaus (PA, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Great cd While I think overall, their self-titled album is better, this is still a great cd that has two of my favorite songs ever by 12 Stones: Far Away and Photograph. Submitted by t_hoosier_03 (Bright, IN, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Predictable Their self-titled album was way better than this one. This one has more pensive feel thru tracks 7 to 11. The vocals don't have grit. Has this band gone mainstream since Evanescence's break back in 2003? Time will tell. ONLY. Submitted by Yvette (Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
the shsssshhnyt it is very rare that i can put a cd in and just let it play from start to finish. This is one of those very few cds in my collection. I just hope they keep maken great music Submitted by tigernick502 (Louisville, KY, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Potter's Field
$6.39 This audio document of The Corrs' Dublin homecoming concert has pretty much everything fans of Irish pop could wish for, including an appearance from Bono in his earthly incarnation, fresh from an audience with President George W. Bush. It's to the band's credit that the charismatic singer fails to steal the show, despite ...

| | Living Sacrifice Conceived In Fire CD (2002)
Potter's Field
$13.49 Of all the metalcore bands that have come and gone over the span of the genre's history, Living Sacrifice has remained a band who never showed a sign of weakness. This is a band who, time and time again, release superior metal albums, always providing above-average albums over their decade as a band. Many proclaimed 2000's The Hammering Process as the group's ultimate release, and, in fact, one of the genre's best offerings that year. Those who doubted Living Sacrifice had the ability to deliver an album of that magnitude ever again, much less on the heels of The Hammering Process' surprising cult success, need only listen to Conceived in Fire. Once again, Living Sacrifice have outdone themselves, serving up some of the meatiest metalcore of 2002 with confidence and style. The 13 tracks that comprise Conceived in Fire ...
| | Blindside About A Burning Fire CD (2004)
Potter's Field
$9.29 This is a Hyper CD, which contains regular audio tracks and also provides a link to the artist's website with the help of a web browser.
At first listen, Swedish rockers Blindside might sound similar to their American pals P.O.D. However, Blindside's fourth album, ABOUT A BURNING FIRE, is their most fully realized effort to date, bringing the band's unique take on heavy rock into distinct and full focus.
Refreshingly light on the kind of screaming vocals that have become a cliche over the years (Christian Lindskog's tuneful self-harmonizing is one of the group's major assets), Blindside's anthemic rock, with its direct, uplifting message of youthful redemption, is forcefully conveyed here. ...

| | Eric Clapton Backless CD (1978) Remastered
Potter's Field
$6.49 Following the platinum success of SLOWHAND, BACKLESS continued Eric Clapton's transformation into a singer/songwriter with better-than-average chops after a lifetime of guitar godhood. Eschewing the star-studded cameos of NO REASON TO CRY, Clapton instead relied on his core group of the '70s: George Terry, Carl Radle, Jamie Oldaker, Dick Simms and Marcy Levy. Levy in particular, proved her worth by co-writing the slide-drenched "Roll It" with Slowhand. Her passionate testifying on this as well as her sparkling harmonies on the Don Williams-influenced "Promises" made up for fellow back-up ...
