Crow Left Of The Murder... album for sale by Incubus was released Aug 03, 2004 on the Epic label. The requisite elements that Incubus fans have come to expect are firmly in place on A CROW LEFT OF THE MURDER, with the up-tempo bombast of "Megalomaniac" and "Beware? Crow Left Of The Murder... CD music Criminal," the softer dynamics of "Southern Girl," and radio-friendly "Talk Shows On Mute." Crow Left Of The Murder... buy CD music What may come as a surprise are the jazzy, proggy moments. In that light, some nods to Rush crop up, as with the chorus of the title track, "Agoraphobia" and the extended instrumental section of "Pistola." Crow Left Of The Murder... ||Fun index elevated by SACD version|
Incubus has out done themselves in the unusual sound effects department on this SACD 5.1 mix. Each song comes content that comes alive from all directions. On some songs, the opening begins slowly and spreads around the room and on other songs, the entrance is simply exploding from the rear to the front. I have both the first release 2 channel CD copy and now the SACD version. Musically they are both the same. When measured on the fun index, the SACD version is the clear winner. Very tastefully done, no channel appears dominent, but rather each channel complements each other. I recommend playing this as loud as your system will allow. Have fun !

||Barely fulfills my ridiculously high expectations|
So maybe "Crow" doesn't stand up to "Make yourself" -- but what does? (maybe I'm just biased, but I put it up in the top five albums of all time) Its much much better than "Morning View." It's a solid CD.

||not a good album|
This is in no way, incubus's best work. In my opinion this is a horrible record. But I have got to give some credit to Megalomaniac. That song is excellent. Talk show on mute is not bad either. But the rest of the record is horrible. This is one of the only albums I could not finnish listening to. All there little noises, anoyed me to no end. Incubus needs to put out another, "Make Yourself."

||best ever, and there's a lot of great incubus albums|
Don't listen to the last reviewer who says "sure you have heard "megalomaniac", which is a good song" Well, that just shows his credibility because this is the lamest song on the album! These are the least cheesy songs incubus have put out since S.C.I.E.N.C.E. and it feels like a positive breath of fresh air from the rest of the watered down 'nothing' rock out these days. They may not be as 'rocky' as incubus's early days but that doesn't mean it isn't a work of art in it's own right. It puts morning view to shame. One thing though, it takes a while to grow on you but once it does, you realise how amazing the songs are, totally led by the new bassist, he gives incubus a fresh energy. Letd own track "here in my room" Best track : "beware criminal"

||Fans of rock, this is not really rock!|
I see that some people call this cd brilliant, I would call this their 'insanity cd'. sure you have heard "megalomaniac", which is a good song, but they even screwed up that song by throwing a whole bunch of stupid sound effects at the beginning of it, so you'll have to go get the single for that one. next, "talk show on mute" is an ok song, but not their best work by far. the rest of the cd is just a bunch of half-hearted songs meant to take you on a voyage, with lots of sound effects, but lots of stupid chords and riffs too. this is more like a grateful dead cd than the incubus we all grew to love. don't look for any good hard rock songs or even medium rock songs similar to "pardon me", "stellar", or "wish you were here", you're going to get a bunch of sound effects and songs that make you wondering if incubus will ever regain their rock credibility again.
