This DVD film stars Diana Rigg, Tim Curry, Charlotte Rae, and Fairuza Balk. When pupils disappear into thin air or turn into pigs by mistake, everyone points a finger at Mildred - the worst witch in the school. No matter how hard she tries to master potions and flying, something always goes wrong! Mildred Hubble (Fairuza Balk) is the flunk-out of the Witch's Academy--that is until she gets her big chance to show everyone just how much magic she can make! The school's headmistress Agatha (Charlotte Rae) has an evil twin, who is plotting to cause havoc just before the big Halloween celebration and visit by the Grand Wizard (Tim Curry). Can Mildred find a way to stop this plot before it ruins the party? This family fantasy features a stellar cast, including Diana Rigg and Tim Curry, as well as plenty of enchanting action.

You gotta love it!
Yeah, this movie is cheesie...but you gotta love it. You'll find youreslf humming the songs non-stop. Who would hae guessed that the the Rocky Horror picture Show could've led to this? And our poor Mildred turned out to be such a great witch after all! This movie puts Harry Potter to shame. If only the special effects of the 80s were better ;) There IS, in fact a siundtrack for this movie that is just as fun as the film, itself!

I have seen this movie SOOOO many times and it still awesome! I wore out my copy on VHS, so I wanted it on DVD. It is so weird seeing Fairuza Balk so young (think The Craft) and innocent! The ony thing better would be if there was a soundtrack for this (I would buy it in a heartbeat)!

Best or Worst Witch
I think that the movie The Worst Witch is a brilliant movie to watch and that most people will enjoy it unless it is played on Nickleodeon and at the end you cant see the credits so you miss the list of the cast untill the very End where you want to find out who played milldred Hubble and the Grand wizard. I think that it is Very true to the book and that they should do a more up to date one because i enjoy the worst witch seris that is play on CITV and Nickleodeon. I wouldnt mind getting it on DVD if it was Sold in England From Sarah Thompson

Before there was CGI, there was what can we do with a blue screen and real actors. Before there was Harry Potter there was a school of witch craft and for waht it was, it made Halloween not just about candy and costumes, but about being different and that it's okay to mess up.
