The talented singer/actor here presents the sixth in a collection of releases that have earned him the title the reigning King Of Salsa. | | Tropical Tribute To The Beatles CD (1996) With DVD
Locos De Amor
$15.05 On December 31, 1962, the Beatles performed the classic song "Besame Mucho" at the Star Club in Hamburg, Germany, in recognition of the highly emotive music from Latin America. Four decades later, RMM decided to bring the Beatles' greatest hits back, this time played by some of the most prominent Latin artists in a tropical tribute to one of the most influential acts in popular music ever. After the opening track, "Hey Jude," by Puerto Rican singer Tony Vega, Tito Nieves and the percussion virtuoso Tito Puente deliver a freewheeling "Let It Be." The Cuban soloist Guianko performs a salsa version of "Can't Buy Me Love," followed by Johnny Rivera's "Hard Day's Night." Latin diva Celia Cruz sings her own version of "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da," while New York-based Ray Sepúlveda and Manny Manuel do the same on "The Fool on the Hill" and "I Want to Hold Your Hand," respectively. Domingo Quińones' cover of "Day Tripper" is followed by "Lady Madonna" by Venezuelan-born Oscar D'Leon, and Jesus Enríquez joins Cuban Miles Peńa on "With a Little Help From My Friends." RMM Tropical Tribute to the Beatles comes to an end with a stylish version of "Yesterday" by Cheo Feliciano (aka José Cheo Feliciano), a bolero-inflected "And I Love Her," and "Come Together" by Latin jazz symbol Tito Puente. A joyous 13-track record with captivating and even exuberant performances in both English and Spanish. ~ Drago Bonacich

| | Pascale Laporte Sing Along Songs & Lullabies CD (2008)
Locos De Amor
$16.45 This remarkable CD is entitled \"Sing-a-long Songs and Lullabies, A Mother’s Love\" and is most appropriate for sale to parents with small children, age newborn up to 9 years old. The soothing vocals and the outstanding musical production make this a smooth, tender collection for those special quiet times. We have test marketed this product locally within a cross section of parents and children and have found that not only do children love it but parents do too. Parents do not get bored and they don’t mind their children listening to it again and again as children will do. This collection takes children’s music to a whole new level.Pascale LaPorte is a teacher who is now a stay at home mom. She began writing songs because of her love for music and because she wanted to express her love to her babies, 4 years old son Julian, and twins Timothy and Tayla now 23 months old. Pascale is a naturally gifted vocal artist. The soft tender tones of her voice, combined with her experience as an educator, allow her to teach and touch the lives of babies and young children through the gift of music. She believes that early exposure to positive language and images through music is one way of promoting improved brain development, verbal skills, and intelligence in children as young as 3 months old. A daughter of the West Indies, Pascale was born in Haiti and speaks fluent French. She grew up in a family where songs and singing were an everyday part of her upbringing, and began singing and acting in school and church performances before the age of 6. In 1984, Pascale’s joined her family in the United States and settled in Orange, NJ where she completed her primary education. She later went on to attend Kean University in Union, NJ. While at Kean University, she studied music for two years prior to graduating with a bachelor’s degree in broadcast communication. Pascale is guided by a close spiritual relationship with God and has always tried to make a difference in people’s lives by sharing her gifts and talents. In 1986 she founded the NJ Haitian Mass Choir in Orange, NJ where she developed a program to bring musical training through song to the youth in her community. Her goal was to engage young people in positive, fun and developmental activities as a way of keeping them off the streets and away from the negative and sometimes violent images on television. Her success was realized when the choir’s numbers swelled to 80 members and they began to receive requests to perform in various gospel venues throughout the country. She later went on to direct additional youth choirs in Elizabeth, NJ and Brooklyn, NY. Pascale was a member of the Beracah Baptist Church in Brooklyn, NY where she worked with the youth choir infusing life into some of the greatest and well known cantata’s, much to the delight of the local congregation. In addition to her work in her community, Pascale has contributed background vocals on selections for several independent artists, two of whom are the now renowned Haitian American singer, songwriter, producer Wyclef Jean and the great hip-hop female vocalist Lauren Hill. Pascale began her teaching career at Orange Board of Education, she taught there for 9 years until retiring due to complications with her twins’ pregnancy. She has since been blessed with a beautiful ...
