Lou Gossett Jr. leads a unique band of international war aces in this spectacular conclusion to the high-flying Iron Eagle series which delivers spectacular air and ground battles, outstanding special effects and the most unique comination of air weaponry ever filmed. Gossett and his Aces team up with the beautiful and courageous Anna to save Anna's Peruvian village held hostage by a Latin American drug cartel led by a German madman. Paul Freeman and Christopher Cazenove also star. Louis Gossett Jr. returns as fighter-pilot Colonel Chappy Sinclair, in IRON EAGLE 3-ACES. Fatigued from military life, Chappy has retired and started up an air circus with fellow pilots Horikoshi (Sonny Chiba) and Palmer (Christopher Cazenove). Together, they reenact famous dogfights using vintage World War II planes. The carnival is interrupted, however, when Chappy's old friend Anna (Rachel McClish), arrives and implores the Air Circus to help her battle a Peruvian cartel bent on smuggling drugs onto America. Using only the antique planes to combat the well armed drug runners, Chappy leads his flying aces into an unforgettable air battle.
IRON EAGLE 3 exhibits director John Glen's eye for action. Formerly editor of James Bond Films (YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE and MOONRAKER), Glen insures the action, utilizing quick zooms and lightning speed cuts. The state of the art special effects are dizzying and Rachel McClish's performance as a determined heroine is outstanding. One holds her character capable of saving Peru and America. IRON EAGLE 3 is a must for any action fan.

$22.15 Take two very naive, very young French girls--one a thin 15-year-old, Elena (Roxane Mesquida), and the other her fat 12-year-old sister, Anaïs (Anaïs Reboux). Picture them as lambs. Add a manipulative older Italian boy, Fernando (Libero De Rienzo). Picture him as the wolf. Witness from close range as the one of the lambs (the thin one) is devoured by the wolf as the other lamb (the fat one) watches in pain but does nothing. The result is FAT GIRL, Catherine Breillat's intense, perplexing, suffocating, grim, terrifying, sickening, dark, plotting depiction of teenage loss of innocence. "Sinister" is what the Italian boy calls what he does to the French girl. "Proof of love" is how the thin girl justifies it. The fat girl, Anaïs, responds by sitting on the beach in her new dress ...

$22.85 German-born director Wolfgang Petersen (DAS BOOT, THE PERFECT STORM) returns to the sea for POSEIDON, a gripping remake of Ronald Neame and Irwin Allen's 1972 disaster classic, THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE. As passengers celebrate New Year's Eve aboard the massive ship Poseidon, a rogue wave devastates the luxury liner, turning it upside down as windows smash, fires break out, electric wires dangle dangerously, and people try to run for their lives--with seemingly nowhere to go. Despite Captain Bradford's (Andre Braugher) pleas for people to remain calm in the ballroom, a small group of people go against his orders and attempt to make their own way to the bottom of the ship, which is now the only section above water. Led by a low-rent gambler named Dylan (Josh Lucas) and the onetime mayor of New York City, Ramsey (Kurt Russell), and including a suicidal architect (Richard Dreyfuss), the former mayor's daughter (Emmy Rossum) and her fiancé (Mike Vogel), a stowaway (Mia Maestro), and a single mother (Jacinda Barrett) and her young son (Jimmy Bennett), they band together as they battle the elements, fight to save their lives, and learn something about themselves along the way. Although the special effects are cutting-edge, starting with the long, complex opening shot, Petersen ...

Iron Eagle 3: Aces review
$9.69 Based on the first novel in Christopher Paolini's popular INHERITANCE trilogy, ERAGON is a fantastical adventure in a vein similar to that of the LORD OF THE RINGS trilogy and THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA. A classic story of a quest driven by destiny and set in a land where elves, magicians, and humans live side by side, the battle between good and evil, innocence and cynicism, is taken up once again. John Malkovitch camps it up as the evil King Galbatorix, a former guardian of peace who long ago went over to the dark side. He now rules over a land from which dragons have all but disappeared, until humble farm boy Eragon (newcomer Edward Speelers) happens upon a mysterious blue object that turns out to be a dragon egg. Eragon befriends the charming dragon cub, Saphira (voiced with aplomb by Rachel Weisz), and becomes her rider, designating him as the principal warrior in the fight against evil. Jeremy Irons steals the show as the wise and mysterious old man who becomes Eragon's mentor, guiding him through the tasks of saving a princess (Sienna Guillory) battling an evil sorcerer (Robert Carlyle, TRAINSPOTTING), and fending off ...
