$14.79 Release Date: July 25, 2003Tired of limp CD's claiming to have artists from "the hood"? Tired of playing music that leaves your car stereo sounding bored. Well.... PaperTrail Productions has solved both of these problems. Beginning with THIS CD, 'The Ghetto Will Speak for Itself'.This album features West Coast Rap sound that is unique to the Bay Area. It features true mob music, fly-boy sounds, playerism, and some ghetto humor to round it off. Most importantly, this album is Sideshow Official. The ghetto album of the year has the Bay Area in "swerve mode". The CD:Production by Dj Sham. An Eazy E disciple, but not from LA. After working in LA for others, he returned to his Bay Area Roots and decided to start his own production company and studio. Several artists came to his studio (War Room Studio) in Richmond, CA. But he soon realized that some of the most talented artists had no backing. The hard-core artists, the ones who were from the streets and didn't have anything but the hustle they lived by... didn't have a way to get their music out there. So.... Sham took action. He took these unheard of artists and refined their skills. Then he produced the kind of M.O.B. music that oozes with confidence and realness. The result: Ice-Cold HeatMobb Music:If you like Mobb music (If you like M.O.B music), you must get this album. Not only is it in the trunk, but the fire given by Detrimental, Big Mel, and Family Business makes this a hood classic. Detrimental makes an impression with 5 tracks that jump out at you. He starts the album out with "Gettin' It" and simply gets sicker as the album goes along. Gettin' It tells of his experiences makin money in the streets of Richmond. He ends his contributions with "Put That on Somethin'" which showcases Dj Sham's ability to not only put out mob music, but to make it fly enough to floss and sparkle. Detrimental has a solo album coming out called "Hazardous to Your Health". Peep the PaperTrail website to stay posted (http:// papertrailmusic ). Big Mel represents Oakland to the fullest. Extra-Mannish and representing 6-9. Mel is the underground. He represents what the underground is all about. People LOVE Mel. Uncompromising, violent, crafty, unique, hard, all are words that could be used to describe Big Mel. Not only did Sham bring this Underground savage to light, but he has him primed to release a solo album entitled ...

$12.69 KTV is a band hell bent on using beats and rhymes to sound like bent hell, flipping abrasive and dissonant punk and bop samples instead of typical boom bap. It's difficult listening, but which would you rather have: an avant adventure or more of the same? -Fader MagazineBorn out of the ashes of NY rap group Odd Jobs, the four members took the unlikely turn of leaving behind a successful project with a simple indie rap vision & a solid foundation in the big apple and returned to their home base of Minneapolis to begin conspiring an inventive amalgamation of art brut, gut bucket blues, rustbelt punk, noir jazz and scorched earth crunk.2005 saw their self titled debut hit the streets on Locust's Jib Door imprint - Misfits style cover homage and all - to critical acclaim by the likes of Prince Paul, Salon, Fader, CMJ, Blow Up, the Onion & all the usual Minneapolis suspects amidst much head scratching. Fall 2006 saw the release of a 12" ...
