3 stars Disappointed....
I had seen this movie some years ago and so I was looking forward to purchasing it. Unfortunately I found that it appeared very dated and although I very much like both Jane Powell and Howard Keel the film just no longer had the freshness that I had remembered. Also, I had thought that there were more well known songs but the only one I really enjoyed was "Bless Your Beautiful Hide" and that was over far too soon. Very colourful, costumes were great and the actors and actresses all very enjoyable - just missing that extra little spark for me, unfortunately.

5 stars The Best Musical Ever
I've loved this movie since I was a little girl, and it only gets better every time I watch it. This movie is absolutely hilarious and the music and dancing are fantastic. Everyone will love this movie...even the guys. This is a movie that should be in everyone's library!

5 stars wonderful musical in brilliant color
I bought this dvd in widescreen. As we all know that widescreen shows extra footage on the side of the screen. I myself enjoyed this movie. I also have it on vhs in full screen. If you like widescreen, then this is a good one to buy. It is a musical with romance, comedy, singing, in a wonderful story.
