Jerry Lewis stars. No synopsis available. In his college lab, a goonball, bucktoothed professor concocts a potion that turns him into a suave ladies' man. A Lewis classic. Nerd. Milquetoast. Klutz. These are just three of the many undesirable words that can be used to describe Professor Julius Kelp. But all that changes when the chemistry expert invents a potion that transforms him into a suave, sexy chick magnet, whom Julius aptly names Buddy Love. Unfortunately, there's one side effect: Buddy can't control when he'll change back into Julius, an event that always happens at inopportune times. How will Julius/Buddy resolve his Jekyll-and-Hyde dilemma? This film cemented Jerry Lewis's reputation as a comic genius; he co-wrote and co-produced the film while also turning in a fabulous performance. This film served as the basis for Eddie Murphy's later Nutty Professor films.

Nutty Professor Movie Review Average Rating: (3 out of 5 stars)  Bloopers nearly as good as the movie
One of the best things about DVDs is the fact that we can see deleted scenes, bloopers during filming and get a feel for the "real people" behind the scenes. Saw this movie when I was a teen ager. I in my late 50s and love it just as much. Shame about the smoking but in those days is was part of everyone's life.

I have watched nearly all Jerry Lewis films and think his humour is brilliant and this is certainly his best ever film made.

If you like comedie, you have to watch it. For my part, simply one of the best comedie ever made. Image and colors are wonderfull, 5.1 mix is clear ans swigging, great job !!!

Viewed through our photographs, it would seem we have lived a joyous, leisurely existence. Sy Parrish (Robin Williams), who makes this observation, adversely leads a lonely life, operating a photo lab in a SavMart department store. He escapes his dreary reality through the family photos of Nancy Yorkin (Connie Nielsen) and her family. His admiration of the Yorkins becomes an obsession, as he fashions himself as Uncle Sy to little Jake (Dylan Smith). Sy's judgment becomes impaired by his unhealthy interest, causing him to lose his job of 11 years. As his final day approaches, Sy develops photographs revealing an indiscretion on the part of Mr. Yorkin (Michael Vartan). The unstable Sy now develops a disturbing, calculated plan to instill family values to the Yorkin clan.
