Radio Rarities songs
$13.85 Dynaflow records presents what are believed to be the very last recordings of Stan Kenton's road band dating from March 6, 1977 through what was literally his last public performance, which took place at Stern Grove in San Francisco on August 20, 1978. This was a difficult time for Kenton; in May 1977, while lodging at the Abraham Lincoln Motor Inn in Reading, PA, he fell and suffered a concussion that resulted in blood clots and necessitated emergency brain surgery. Always a stubborn and persevering individual, Kenton insisted upon performing with the band again as soon as he was physically able to do so, despite occasional memory lapses and other problems resulting from his injury. On July 2, 1977 he led the band in performance at the Newport Jazz Festival, and continued the exhausting series of one-nighters throughout the U.S. and Canada for another year. The ensemble heard on this compilation ...

Radio Rarities music CDs
$13.29 Recorded between 1950 & 1956. Originally released on RCA (1548) & RCA (1399).
Technically speaking, this discount-priced two-fer CD combines two LPs featuring Eddie Fisher that represent consecutive releases for him, sequenced in the opposite order from their release; Bundle of Joy was issued in late 1956, Thinking of You in 1957.
