| In the spotlight again!
Mavericks - Live In Austin Texas video I can't say how wonderful it is to hear the Mavericks perform again! The addition of the horns are great! a real party CD.

Mavericks - Live In Austin Texas film The Mavericks' live DVD from Stubbs Barbeque in Austin Texas showcases one of the most unique bands in America. Mavericks - Live In Austin Texas review Part country, R&B, pop, blues, even a little jazz thrown in, The Mavericks played a widely varied set of great music. Led by outstanding lead singer Raul Malo, this band can play virtually any genre of music. There's a large Spanish influence, including lead guitarist Eddie Perez (and, of course, Malo, himself), and a Latin rhythm and percussion section. Malo sings some of his songs solo... playing his own acoustic guitar... but, as the leader of this band, he orchestrates them through a terrific set of their hits and album songs. It's hard to put a label on this band... and that's just fine, as they combine sounds and influences from a wide variety of sources. This is an awesome live DVD... sit back and enjoy the Mavericks, at their best.

| They Forgot One
Mavericks - Live In Austin Texas DVD This is a great dvd, but they forgot one very important song, and that is "This Broken Heart" I can't believe that The Mavericks would have let such a masterpiece song not be included on this show. Something is a-foul here. Still this show is a primo- killer. I highly recommend anyone purchase it ASAP.

Mavericks - Live In Austin Texas movie mavericks really rock it out on this live high energry dvd. this shows that they can still rock even after disappering from the country scene for a while. they are great artists it has good soung quailty and good vocals. they start it with dance the night away an old mavericks standard and end it with number on single all you ever do is bring me down to the finsh. one other thing it is great having in the background. you must buy john w moll.

| High Quality Production, Great Show
I can't believe that no one has reviewed this one before me. This is simply one great concert DVD. The Mavericks' sound is hard to describe. The music is a bit of a cross between "Asleep At The Wheel", "Jimmy Buffet" and "Commander Cody" (anyone remember them?), but with better vocals. They are very unique, the band is very tight and very talented. The vocalist is absolutely fantastic. This is foot-tapping, get-up-off-your-@#%!- and -shake-it music (FUN music). Some great ballads included here, but mostly lively music (rock/boogie/country blues/big-band all rolled into one). This is a must have concert DVD. The production is brilliant, in that it is truly live - no obvious dubs. A real concert experience with great sound and video quality. I love a good concert video, whether it is hard rock, blues, acoustic, folk or something unique. These guys are very unique and their music is excellent. Trust me on this one.
