The Dolls do it like no other. Great DVD. Music quality is outstanding; the band can still pull it off. No wonder guys like these are still around. Today's music stinks! This is rock n' roll! This is music at its purest, the way rock is supposed to be. You ain't no fan of rock unless you dig the Dolls. A must for any fan of rock history.

 Still Too Much Too Soon
This is a sad epitaph for a great band. The performance is of great historical relevance but if this was done 15 years ago right after Johnny Thunders was murdered, it would have been of greater impact. I saw this band live and this performance is a hollow shell of what was. Nice treatment of bassist Arthur Kane and the energy level of the group almost rises to acceptable levels in the last couple of songs, but the power and the glory are gone. David Johannsen just seems to go through the motions on most of the songs. So sad.

 Better Late Than Never
This is a good document of a band that could have had it all. The fact that the three surviving members are on the stage together is worth the price of the DVD. There's lots of very good extras. The bands performance is very good but it's the last few songs that catch fire. If you want to see a very good DVD of the New York Dolls in their prime buy "All Dolled Up".
